Today's Prophetic Word::Are You Forgetting?
Scripture: They forgot what he had done, the wonders he had shown them. He did miracles in the sight of their ancestors in the land of Egypt, in the region of Zoan. Psalm 78:11–12, NIV
God supernaturally brought the Israelites out of slavery. He sent plagues upon their enemies, parted the Red Sea, gave them manna to eat and water out of a rock in the desert, and led them by the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night. But in spite of seeing God’s goodness in amazing ways, they forgot His miracles, became discouraged and started complaining, and never made it into the Promised Land. It kept them from their destiny.
You may be discouraged today and be thinking, “I don’t see how I’ll ever get out of this problem.” Are you forgetting what God has done for you? Have you let what once was a miracle become ordinary? It doesn’t excite you anymore. You don’t thank God for it. Look back over your life and remember that God brought you to where you are, big things and small things. God has opened doors that should have never opened for you, just as He did for the Israelites. You can know that if God did it for you once, He can do it for you again, in Jesus Name.
“A beautiful woman who lacks discretion is like a gold ring in a pig’s snout.”
Proverbs 11:22 NLT
Today's Prophetic Word: Don't Let Others Limit Your Dreams.
Scripture: For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Romans 3:3, NKJV
Have the opinions of other people caused you to stop pursuing your dreams? There will always be critics and naysayers in life. It’s not what’s said about you that affects your life, but what you say and believe about yourself.
One of the most important things you can learn is that other people don’t have to believe in you in order for your dreams to come to pass. Other people don’t set the limits for your life—you do. In Romans 3:3, the apostle Paul is saying, “It doesn’t matter if other people don’t believe. Their unbelief is not going to keep me from believing in my dreams.” When God puts a promise in your heart, it’s not up to other people to bring it to pass, it’s up to you! You don’t need everyone to approve you, affirm you or validate you. You have to follow the voice of God for yourself and allow Him to order your steps.
Remember, God sees the hidden treasures inside you. He wants to bring those treasures out and make your dreams a reality! As you get rid of old, defeated thoughts and replace them with what God says about you, you will remove the limits and live the abundant life God has in store for you, in Jesus name!
Today's Prophetic Word; No Footholds
Scripture: Ephesians 4:26–27, NIV - In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
The reason many people have no joy or enthusiasm is because they go to bed each night with unforgiveness in their heart. They're reliving their hurts, thinking about their disappointments, stressing out about somebody who's trying to make them look bad, upset because somebody's playing politics in the office. Here's the problem: If the sun goes down with bitterness, it will come back up with bitterness. If it goes down with resentment, it comes back up with resentment. That's blocking God's blessings. That's giving the enemy a foothold.
Before you go to bed each night, you need to say, "God, I'm releasing every negative thing that's happened to me today--every hurt, every worry, and every disappointment. I'm forgiving the people who did me wrong. God, I'm going to bed in peace." When you do that, the sun will go down with nothing blocking God's blessings. Don't go to bed at night with any kind of defeat still in your mind. Let it go and trust God to make your wrongs right, in Jesus Name.
Today's Prophetic Word: Trust His Timing.
Scripture: My times are in Your hand… Psalm 31:15, NASB
One thing I’ve learned is that God doesn’t always work on our timetable. In fact, He rarely does. But in a single moment, God can change your life! All throughout Scripture, we see examples of how God was working behind the scenes and instantly turned things around for His people. Scripture tells us He is the same yesterday, today and forever, which means if He did it for them, He can instantly turn things around for you, too!
You may be going through some difficulty today, but be encouraged because your times are in God’s hands. Trust that He has your best interest at heart. He wants to pour out His favor. He wants to take you further than you dreamed possible and work in your life in ways beyond what you have ever imagined. And while you’re waiting, don’t try to figure everything out. That’s only going to frustrate you.
Let this truth sink down into your heart today. Resist discouragement by speaking His Word over your future. Keep standing, keep hoping and keep believing because He is working behind the scenes. Have faith because your times are in His hands, and He will lead you in the life of victory He has for you!
Today's Prophetic Word: Release What’s Inside
Scripture: Micah 4:9, ESV - Now why do you cry aloud? Is there no king in you?
One time in the Old Testament, an army invaded Jerusalem and killed their king. For the first time, the people of Israel were without a leader. They were discouraged and didn't know what to do. As they sat there thinking that it was over, the prophet Micah rose up and said, "Now why do you cry aloud? Is there no king in you?"
I believe that God is saying the same thing to each of us: "There's a king in you." You may have made mistakes, but you are still a child of the Most High God. You may have gone through disappointments, but You have royal blood flowing through your veins. You may have missed good opportunities, but let these words sink deep down into your spirit. "The king is still in you." "The queen is still in you." You are still wearing a crown of favor and clothed in a robe of honor. Now you have to start calling out that king, calling out that queen. You have to release what God put inside.
Today's Prophetic Word: A Surely Mentality.
Scripture: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. Psalm 23:6, NKJV
In today’s Scripture, David was saying, “I am confident that good things are coming. I am confident that this situation is turning around.” It’s very powerful when you add the “surely” to what you’re believing for. Thoughts will tell you that you’ll never get well. “Surely, Lord, good health is on the way.” “Surely I will lend and not borrow.” “You’ll always struggle with that bad habit.” “Surely I will break this addiction. Surely freedom is coming.”
What you’re up against may look too big. None of the circumstances look like it’s going to happen. You could be filled with worry and doubt. Try a new approach. Start adding some “surelys” to what you’re believing for. When you have this surely mentality, you’re going to see some “surelys” come to pass. Don’t let the circumstances fool you. Surely goodness and mercy are following you. Surely God is about to bless you and show you favor that you’ve never seen.
Today's Prophetic Word: The Story You Believe.
Scripture - “Please, I don’t talk well. I’ve never been good with words, neither before nor after you spoke to me. I stutter and stammer.” - Exodus 4:10, MSG
When God told Moses to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelite slaves go free, Moses made the excuse that he couldn’t do it because he stuttered. God said, “Moses, who made your mouth?” Do you think God would ask you to do something and then not give you the ability to do it? Do you think He would not give you everything you need to live a victorious life, to overcome obstacles, to excel and leave your mark? Moses had the wrong story. He was telling himself, “I’m unqualified. I have these limitations.” The story you believe is the story that’s going to come to pass. When you tell God you’re not talented and can’t do something significant, God responds, “Who made you? Who wrote your story? Who gave you your gifts? Who picked out your family? Who lined up your good breaks? Who planned out your days?” The Creator of the universe is your author. He’s written your story. You’re not doing life on your own. The Creator of the universe is with you to help you.
Today's Prophetic Word: Never Late.
Scripture “For still the vision awaits its appointed time…If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:3, ESV
Sometimes we want something so badly that we get out of balance. We feel like we’re falling behind and start to panic. We’re not going to be happy unless God does it our way. You have to release control of how and when God is going to bring it to pass. Hold tightly to your dreams but hold loosely to how God is going to do it.
Today’s Scripture talks about how there is a set time for God to favor you, a set time to heal you, a set time to turn the problem around. If there’s a right time, that means there’s a wrong time. If it hasn’t happened yet, it wasn’t meant to be yet. Instead of fighting where you are, why don’t you embrace where you are? “God, I know You’re ordering my steps. I am right where I’m supposed to be. Thank You that my set times are coming.” God is not going to be one second late. He’s not going to accidentally miss your set time, in Jesus name.
Today's Prophetic Word: Not Another Ordinary Day.
Scripture: One day Jesse said to David, “Take this basket of roasted grain and these ten loaves of bread, and carry them quickly to your brothers.” 1 Samuel 17:17, NLT
On the day that David’s father told David to take a supply of food to his three brothers who were in the army and caught in a standoff with the Philistines, he thought he was just running an errand, no big deal. It seemed like it was just another ordinary day when, in fact, it was a destiny moment. In the sovereignty of God, David arrived just as Goliath came out and threatened the Israelite army. He was at the right place at the right time to become the champion of the Israelites and defeat Goliath. If he would have been three hours later, he wouldn’t have heard Goliath. If he had refused to deliver the food to brothers who didn’t appreciate him, he would have missed his destiny. God was ordering his steps, and He is ordering your steps. David’s purpose came tracking him down, and your purpose will come tracking you down. You think you’re just going to work, just taking care of the kids, when God turns it into your destiny moment and you defeat your giant.
Today's Prophetic Word: Open Arms.
Scripture: So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Hebrews 4:16, NLT
Your perception of God will have a great impact on whether or not you become all you were created to be. Notice in today’s Scripture that to receive His mercy and grace, you have to go boldly. You won’t go boldly if you think God is mad at you. You may have lost your temper, run with the wrong crowd, or ruined your marriage. Mercy is available, new beginnings are available, but it’s not going to happen if you stay down on yourself, feeling unworthy. Get rid of that defeated mentality. God is not holding your mistakes against you. When you come to Him, He won’t say, “I’m so disappointed. What’s wrong with you?” He will gladly welcome you. If you only knew that God is standing before you right now with open arms. He made you in His own image, and you are His most valuable possession. He says, “See, I have tattooed your name on the palms of My hands.” He knows your thoughts before you think them. There’s nothing more important to God than you. Come boldly and receive His mercy in Jesus Name.
Today's Prophetic Word: Stand Your Ground
Scripture: Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Ephesians 6:13, NIV
Being a person of faith doesn’t exempt us from difficulty. The apostle Paul says you are going to have evil days when you must have on the full armor of God. You’re going to have things in life that can knock the wind out of you, take your joy, and cause you to want to give up on your dreams. Paul says you should just stand in the face of the opposition, stand when every voice says it’s not going to work out, stand when the medical report is not changing, stand when your finances aren’t improving, stand when your child is not making good decisions. To stand means you’re not moved by what’s not changing. You’re not complaining because it’s taking so long. You’re not bitter because you had the setback. You’re not frustrated because your plans didn’t work out. You stand believing, stand trusting, stand hoping, stand expecting. If you stand immovable, unshakable, then you will be unstoppable. Those evil days will not keep you from your destiny; they will launch you into your destiny., in Jesus Name.
