The change we want

Sunday well spent in the company of the great people of Emabungo Ward. I had the privilege of attending church services and later interacting with residents along our streets, listening to their ideas, aspirations, and concerns. These conversations continue to remind me that leadership is about being present, listening, and serving.

I was honored to be with a great team led by Hon. Samuel Embodo (MCA, Central Maragoli Ward), Nestar Ingolo (Aspiring Senator, Vihiga County), my good friend Kukhu Apembo, Brian, and Brighton. Your companionship and shared commitment to serving our people are truly appreciated.

Later, we paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Elum Ainea Asipila, MCA for North East Bunyore Ward, where we quenched our thirst from his wealth of leadership experience and wisdom. His insights on public service, community engagement, and transformative leadership were inspiring and will continue to guide our journey.

The journey to a stronger, united, and more prosperous Emabungo continues. The best is yet to come.

Today was a fulfilling day at Ebwali High School where we planted 100 Hass avocado seedlings as part of our commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable livelihoods. We also had an interactive mentorship session with students on green entrepreneurship, technology, climate change, and the importance of youth leadership in building a better future. We further pledged to strengthen the school's Environmental Club to make it more vibrant and impactful.

This initiative was made possible through the collective efforts of OPYA, FOREZAVA, LUSSNET, VISNET, Vihiga Youth Council (VYC), Kenya Red Cross, Ematsuli Youth Group, and Youth Epitome Center Group. Together, we continue to prove that partnerships are the foundation of meaningful community transformation and youth empowerment.

Every tree planted today is an investment in tomorrow. I remain committed to empowering young people, protecting our environment, and creating opportunities that improve lives—because community first will always be my guiding principle.
