Almost every week Mondays and Fridays i was in and out of the Main Cancer Hospital in Sri Lanka assisting my Husband's relative like today.

And like all those days, my heart's always filled with gratitude on how these people show love and care and kindness in that hospital.

3. *Family’s experience*: Karu Jayasuriya said the idea was initiated during his daughter’s final days, when he saw how much small acts of help mattered to a family losing a loved one. He stated: _"The intention in doing this was that no other parent should face the pain that I felt"_.
4. *Sister’s motivation*: Dr. Lanka said the idea was "kindled posthumously" and she has been driven by "love for the sister... she lost". She turned grief into a movement that has "given hope to those in need".

Today ICT runs *20+ programmes* including Sri Lanka’s first cancer helpline, wig donation, breast prosthesis, pediatric care, scholarships, and Suwa Arana - Southeast Asia’s first paediatric palliative care Centre.
