Dr. Lucia Borriello, supported by a Mary Kay Ash Foundation 2023 Cancer Research Grant, targets 'sleeping' breast cancer cells to stop them from spreading. Her research focuses on how immune cells interact with dormant tumors to find ways to eliminate them early and prevent relapse. This work could lead to new treatments and a future with less risk of breast cancer returning.​

Raising funds for the MKAF as an ambassador is one of my reasons for continuing my MK business…

Dr. Justin is advancing CAR-T cell therapy to target triple-negative breast cancer, a type of cancer known for dodging the immune system.

He's focusing on how this cancer suppresses T cells and developing strategies to boost their response to help fight the disease.

With the grant from the Mary Kay Ash Foundation, his goal is to create more effective treatments for this challenging disease, promising hope for those affected.
