World Environment Day 🌳
On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Lilong Haoreibi College Students' Union, along with the Principal of Lilong Haoreibi College, actively participated in a tree plantation programme at the college campus.
Together, we planted trees to promote environmental awareness and contribute towards a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future. Every tree planted today is a step towards protecting our environment for future generations. 🌱💚

On this significant occasion, the Lilong Haoreibi College Students’ Union 2025–26, members General Secretary SM Farid Khan, unions together with the student community and on behalf of future generations of students, submitted a memorandum to the Honourable Chief Minister of Manipur seeking urgent developmental initiatives for Lilong Haoreibi College one of the oldest minority colleges in the state.
The memorandum highlighted the need for the upgradation of Postgraduate (PG) programmes to University level, along with essential infrastructural and academic developments aimed at ensuring quality education and creating greater opportunities for students, particularly those from economically weaker sections.
The major demands included:
Upgradation of PG programmes to University level.
Construction of an ITEP Administrative Block.
Construction of a separate Administrative Block.
Creation of teaching and non-teaching staff posts for ITEP and other Degree Programmes.
Construction of separate toilet facilities for Boys and Girls in the ITEP Block.
Construction of additional classrooms and science laboratories.
Blacktopping of the approach road to the ITEP Block.
Construction of a proper college boundary wall fencing.
Construction of a footbridge near Lilong Haoreibi College.
The Union also had the honour of inviting the Honourable Chief Minister to grace the Golden Jubilee Celebration commemorating 50 glorious years of Lilong Haoreibi College on 24 June 2026 as the Chief Guest.

The 50th Annual Sports Meet organised by the Lilong Haoreibi College Students’ Union 2025–26 commenced today with a grand opening ceremony in the esteemed presence of distinguished dignitaries.
The programme was graced by Professor MD Abdul Sattar Shah, Principal of Lilong Haoreibi College, along with the special presence of Md Sahidur Rahaman, President of the Lilong Haoreibi College Teacher Association, and Dr N Somendro Singh, Secretary of the Lilong Haoreibi College Teacher Association & In-charge of Games and Sports.
The ceremony reflected great enthusiasm, unity, discipline, and the true spirit of sportsmanship, with active participation from the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college.
May this Sports Meet inspire teamwork, dedication, leadership, and excellence among all students.

With the kind guidance of our respected Principal, the Students’ Union of Lilong Haoreibi College has successfully completed the repairing of the Union Room. We sincerely express our gratitude for the support and leadership that made this possible.

On this solemn day, we pay heartfelt tribute to the indomitable courage and supreme sacrifice of Major Paona Brajabashi and the brave martyrs of the Anglo-Manipur War of 1891, who fought valiantly to defend the sovereignty and honour of Manipur. Their heroic legacy continues to inspire generations with the spirit of patriotism, bravery, and sacrifice.
