One small eight-month trial published in the journal Tropical Life Sciences Research found participants who supplemented daily with 100 milligrams of vitamin E saw an increase in hair growth by as much as 34%.
Just a tablespoon of almond butter provides nearly 3.87 milligrams of Vitamin E. The recommended daily Vitamin E allowance is 15 milligrams, so almond butter will put you well on your way, especially if you eat more than one tablespoon.
2. Tangerines
The benefits of tangerines affect your hair in a big way. Their vitamin C content makes it easier for your body to absorb iron, which is found in foods like red meat and spinach. Iron deficiency has been linked to hair loss, according to a study published in the Journal of Korean Medical Science, so it's important to make sure you're getting enough of it. And vitamin C-rich foods will only help your body absorb that iron even more.

Salmon is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, which have a number of health benefits.

HAIR LOSS, AND THE MANY DIFFERENT TYPES
When you spot a bald patch, or pull out handful full of hair whilst in the shower, you might be quick to assume that it’s a permanent problem. But there are three main types of hair loss:
1️⃣Balding
Baldness is often hereditary and mainly found in men (male hormone, androgen, which give men their β€˜male’ characteristics), but do not exclude women (usually caused by ageing, genetic vulnerability, and abnormal androgen levels).
2️⃣Alopecia & scarring alopecia
Is a type of hair loss that occurs when your immune system mistakenly attacks hair follicles , which is where hair growth begins. Sometimes this can become permanent.
3️⃣Telogen Effluvium
This type of abnormal hair loss is characterised by a disruption in the normal hair cycle. This happens when more than 10% of hairs enter the dormant phase and can be caused by systemic illnesses (flu or thyroid deregulation, or severe emotional stress).

Unsurprisingly, genetics played the biggest factor in hair loss in front and on top (but not on the sides).
If hair loss is in your genes, you are more likely to lose your hair.
2) Age (Older = Hair Loss)
Again, not surprising: the older a man was, the more likely he was to have hair loss.
This was true on every part of the head.
3) The Number Of Children (More equals More Hair Loss!)
Maybe this one isn’t as surprising to those who have children: the more children a man had, the less hair he had in the front.
Possibly, this is due to the increased stress associated with having children (but they’re worth it anyway, right?)
4) Diet & Hair Loss (Specifically Caffeine & Alcohol)
More caffeine was correlated with more hair loss in the front and top of the head.
Those men who drank more than 4 alcoholic drinks in a week had more hair loss on the sides and top of the head.
Interestingly, those men who completely refrained from alcohol also had more hair loss on the sides and top of the head.
5) Smoking & Hair Loss
Men who smoked had more hair loss on the front and top of their head.
The researchers suggested that smoking restricts blood flow to hair follicles, and this makes the follicles die.
6) Skin Disease History & Balding
Men who had a history of skin disease lost more hair on average on the sides and top.
7) Clothing (Hats and Balding)
Here’s a surprise: wearing a hat actually protected men from hair loss on the sides of their head.
I’ve always heard that hat-wearing led to hair loss, but the researchers suggested that hats protect the scalp from sun damage, and this may explain why hat-wearing prevents hair loss.

Here’s another interesting twist: increased lifelong stress led to less hair on the top of the head, but more on the sides.
