Day 44/44 of confinement — done and dusted ✨

This time around, I still followed confinement, but with a lot more grace for myself. Less stress over the rules, more focus on my mental wellbeing and breastfeeding journey. Iykyk 🤭🫶🏻

There were dark days, and there were sunshine days too. Support is truly vital during this season, and I’m grateful to have had mine by my side every step of the way 🤍

Now just soaking it all in before Sulaiman is no longer a newborn 🥺

Never thought I’d fall in love with tudung bawal until came up with the Mekar Collection 🫶🏻

Giving birth is not something you’re ever truly prepared for. No matter how much you plan, read, prepare or pray for a certain experience, sometimes things still unfold differently. And in the end, the only thing that truly matters is getting both mom and baby through it safely

Both of my birth plans didn’t go the way I imagined, but alas, Allah is the best of all planners

The fear, the chills, the nerves, the anxiety all at once. To lay there vulnerable and exposed while a whole medical team works around you. To surrender your body, your strength, your expectations. And yet somehow, in the middle of all that fear, women still find the strength to keep going. That’s the kind of power motherhood carries

This birth experience is just something else. To go through labour, feel every wave, every emotion, every ounce of exhaustion… and then to also be cut open to bring your baby safely into this world it is something I will carry with me forever. A kind of strength and pain that changes you deeply.

Childbirth made me realise just how powerful women truly are. Our bodies go through so much, yet we still rise, still nurture, still love endlessly. There is no sacrifice too great when it comes to our babies

Holding onto every doa, every prayer, every bit of support and reassurance just to make it through safely. And Alhamdulillah, through all the fear and uncertainty, Allah carried me through both journeys 🤍

Alhamdulillah for my births. Alhamdulillah for my babies.
And Alhamdulillah for my #1 for being there through every contraction, every tear, every fear. My constant, my calm, my safe place

Every day should be Mother’s Day. Mothers deserve to be celebrated for all the sacrifices we go through for our children the pain we endure, the fears we carry silently, the strength we somehow continue to find even when we feel like we have none left 🤍

Our second baby and our first son a precious amanah we are deeply grateful for

A name that means one who is elevated in honor and blessed with peace and wisdom like Prophet Sulaiman

“Rafa” is chosen in loving memory of my late father, Abd Rafar a name close to our hearts, carrying his love, legacy, and prayers into the next generation

May Allah bless you with iman, grant you wisdom, protect you always, and raise you among the righteous. May your life be filled with barakah, and may you be a source of sadaqah jariyah for us. In sha Allah Amin
