🚢 Official Launch of the Pulau Tuba Sea Ambulance at RLYC
Today, the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club (RLYC) proudly hosted the Minister of Health, YB Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, to officially launch the new Pulau Tuba Sea Ambulance.
We are deeply honored to be part of this life-saving initiative. To support our local island communities, RLYC is proud to provide complimentary berthing for the sea ambulance at our jetty. Thank you to the Ministry of Health and all our guests for sharing this milestone with us!
Key Highlights:
The Vessel: A custom 48-foot sea ambulance equipped with modern emergency medical facilities (a RM1.45 million investment by the Ministry of Health).
The Impact: It will provide faster, safer medical transfers for the Pulau Tuba community, which averages 7 to 10 critical cases a month requiring urgent transport to Langkawi.
The Goal: Ensuring everyone, even in hard-to-reach island locations, has quick access to quality healthcare.
