My taste buds that have been on strike during this recovery literally resumed work today! 😂😂😂 I came home feeling like, Ahhh so this is what enjoyment tastes like! 😭🤣❤️

Honestly, having a good husband who notices when you’re not yourself and knows how to put a smile back on your face is such a blessing. 🥹❤️

God bless all the good husbands and fathers out there. 🙏🙌 May your hands never lack, may your pockets NEVER run dry, and may God continue to bless the work of your hands. ❤️💯

Sometimes life moves so fast that you don't even realize how much things have changed until a memory suddenly brings it all back. ❤️🥹
Six years later, we found ourselves back at one of our favourite restaurants — the exact spot where my husband once surprised me with a birthday celebration. 🥰
As we sat there, he told Sally, Your mummy had her birthday here six years ago. And this girl immediately became emotional and said, Mummy, why didn’t you wait for me? Or push me out of your tummy six years ago so I could have been part of your surprise birthday party? 😭🤣🤣

Honestly, children! 😂❤️

But that moment made me reflect on how much life has changed. This used to be our lifestyle before motherhood fully set in. Dates, dinners, surprises, gifts, quality time just us enjoying our love and friendship. Then Sally came along, and somehow, without even realizing it, almost all our attention and focus shifted to her. ❤️

Don't get me wrong, motherhood is one of the greatest blessings of my life, but sometimes in the process of raising our children, we forget that there was an “US” before them and that “US” still needs love and attention too. ❤️

And when it comes to dates upon dates, my husband is a PRO! 😂 This man will plan a luxury dinner date and still show up with an expensive gift like he's trying to impress me all over again. 🥰❤️
Truthfully, I almost declined this particular date because I wasn't feeling too well. But he insisted and said, We need this.
And he was absolutely right. 🥹❤️
We needed that time together. We needed to sit across from each other, eat good food, laugh, reminisce and remember that beyond being mummy and daddy to Sally, we are still husband and wife. We are still best friends. We are still US. ❤️
So here's your reminder, married couples: while you're busy raising the children, don't forget to raise your marriage too. ❤️
Take the date. Go for dinner. Buy the gift. Dress up for each other. Laugh together. Make memories. The children will grow, but the love that holds the family together also deserves to be nurtured. 🥰
And yes, Sally next time mummy and daddy are celebrating, we'll try to remember to invite you. 😂😂❤️
