PAD-A-GIRL - Powered by Living Spring foundation

On Saturday , we hit the street of New Nyanya, Abuja-Keffi expressway and it was an eventful time; starting from the curious glances we generated from passersby, to the interactive sessions and questions which were answered to reluctance from some persons and brilliance from others. Women and me, young girls and boys all giving their perspective on female menstrual health and most importantly PANTYLINERS! YES PANTYLINERS!

This edition of streethook focused on pantyliners.
What are pantyliners?
Do you incorporate pantyliners into your routine?
For how long do you wear your pantyliners?
Have you experienced any side effects from wearing pantyliners?

Hmmm! We had a very eventful time like I said not only from the ladies of course, the gentlemen were very helpful and it's surprising how well informed some of them were when it comes to the female menstrual health.

A moment that really stood out was the information gotten from an 11 year old girl; she was well informed already about menstruation which shows she wouldn't be caught unawares when she starts her period. At Pad a Girl, we hold the conviction that INFORMATION IS POWER. Thus, we are passionate about ensuring that young girls and boys are well versed in feminine and masculine hygiene, as it constitutes a fundamental aspect of their life's journey.

The sole aim of Pad A girl is to raise young boys and girls who are confident in themselves and their personal hygiene.

Our last interviewee screemed while walking home that the pads she received will go a long way this is what we are about; lifting burdens as little as possible and keeping smiles on faces across the globe 🌎

Tag your street if you would love us to come.

“A pad is not a luxury, it’s a necessity. Let’s make it accessible for every girl. 🌸”

Every girl deserves the confidence and comfort that comes with a hygienic period.
Let’s break the silence, end the stigma, and empower girls with dignity and knowledge.

Together, we can make periods a symbol of strength not shame.
