Goals help us become a better version of ourselves.

This evening, we're exploring the vital role of self-care in friendships, and I'm fully on board. By setting healthy boundaries, communicating our needs, and prioritizing our own well-being, we can cultivate more balanced and fulfilling relationships. I recall a friendship where I'd always drop everything to accommodate my friend's last-minute plans, even when it meant sacrificing my own needs. I thought that's what friends were supposed to do, but I soon realized that this pattern was leaving me feeling drained and resentful. I had an open and honest conversation with my friend, suggesting that we schedule our talks and plans in advance to establish clearer boundaries. To my delight, she was completely understanding! From then on, we made a conscious effort to plan ahead and prioritize our own needs. It's wonderful to have friends who respect our boundaries, but I've learned that prioritizing ourselves is not selfish - it's essential.
