TOPIC: RIGHTEOUS REBELLION.

SCRIPTURE: And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. MATTHEW 11:12.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Those who are sufficiently angry about certain injustices will experience divine intervention in those areas.

Our topic today may sound controversial or paradoxical to many people because the word ‘rebellion’ is viewed as something negative, disobedient, ungodly, and unrighteous. And someone may ask, “Can rebellion be righteous?” Absolutely!

According to Oxford's Dictionary, rebellion is defined as resisting authority, control, or convention. So, when we resist unjust authority, control, or convention, it can be considered as righteous rebellion.

In today’s study we shall X-ray what righteous rebellion is all about.

1. Righteous rebellion is going against limiting rules that hinder life and destiny. Anything that restricts your potential or stifles your destiny is worthy of resistance and rebellion. In essence, righteous rebellion is about challenging and resisting rules that limit life and destiny.

2. Righteous rebellion is going against everything that is not in the interest of life and destiny. Whenever something obstructs your life or destiny, resisting it is a form of righteous rebellion. Whether it's a person, system, or demonic agenda, if it's not in the interest of life and destiny, rebelling against it is not only justified but necessary.

3. Righteous rebellion is going against or resisting the status quo. It means defying conventional establishments and norms that limit potential. When the status quo dictates that “No one in this family can achieve this, or no one in this community can become that!” Rising to challenge such limitations is an act of righteous rebellion. It is about breaking free from restrictive rules, conventions, and agendas that stifle life and destiny.

4. Righteous rebellion is a reaction or resistance against the abnormal that has been made normal.

The story of the daughters of Zelophehad as captured in Numbers 27:1-9, is a powerful example of those who rebelled righteously. At that time in Israel, inheritances were passed down only to sons, excluding daughters. But when the daughters of Zelophehad rose up and rebelled against the pattern, Moses brought their case before God. The Lord responded, saying, "The daughters of Zelophehad speak rightly. Give them a portion of inheritance among their father's brethren." God accepted their plea as righteous, a precedent was set, and a new law was established in Israel.

This story shows that sometimes, someone needs to stand up and speak out against injustices. The matter had not been addressed because no one has stood up to speak about it. God was waiting for someone to step forward and say, “This injustice must be corrected.”

Beloved, God maybe waiting for you to correct something in your generation, nation, family, or territory. You can be the one to bring about the much-needed change in your country or generation through righteous rebellion. The truth is, those who are sufficiently angry about certain injustices will experience divine intervention in those areas.
I urge you to rebel against any abnormality in your life or around you. You have permission to righteously rebel against every abnormal situation that is being accepted as normal.

Remember this: Those who are sufficiently angry about certain injustices will experience divine intervention in those areas.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Go through today’s study again, so that a sense of righteous anger can be ignited within you.
2. Deliberately rise against anything that has held your life or the lives of your down.

PRAYER: Father, I come with the spirit of righteous rebellion against the devil and the forces of hell. I declare that anything that does not align with Your Plan and Purpose for my life is uprooted, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: SPEAK YOUR REVELATION

SCRIPTURE: We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; 2 Corinthians 4:13

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When you see anyone speaking calamity all the time, it is because there is no light in them.

The Scripture makes it abundantly clear that life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21).

Sometime ago, someone came to me and told me, “Pray for me or I die.” I replied to the person, “Do you want to die? If you want to die, then what is the use of my prayer? It is unto you according to your faith. If you are already talking death, I can’t talk you out of it.”

Beloved, be optimistic, positivistic, enthusiastic and audacious. Speak with courage despite fear; that was how David spoke. Align your talk with light from Scripture. Don’t talk carelessly; talk strategically. Don’t speak your situation; speak your revelation. Don’t speak your frustration; speak your conviction. Don’t speak what you feel; speak what He wills. That is the law of faith.

So, you don’t speak what is happening, but what is written.

Isaiah 8:20 says, To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

The Scripture above is a spot diagnosis. When you see anyone speaking calamity all the time, it is because there is no light in them.

In our house, no one can say that food or anything else has finished. Nothing can finish; they can only need replacement.

Many years ago, we were in an elevator, and someone asked, “Is this lift going down?” I said, “Never, I will never go down in life, but in case you are going to the reception, you can join us.”

I knew a young man who complained about everyone else perennially. He would say, “This person is terrible. Everyone hates me,” etc. Guess what? Those who didn’t know him before would hate him even before they met him.

Beloved, endeavour to align your talk with light from the World of God.

REMEMBER THIS: When you see anyone speaking calamity all the time, it is because there is no light in them.

ASSIGNMENT(S):

Don’t keep quiet when your destiny is being decided.
Always speak your conviction out of revelation from the Word of God, and not your frustration.
PRAYER: Father, I receive the grace to see beyond the immediate. I will always speak positively in line with Your Word and Covenant, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: THINK UP AND GO UP.

SCRIPTURE: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is not possible to think up and stay down in life.

The mind is a major asset of life. It can also be a major challenge of life when it is improperly deployed. That is why 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 says, For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

An evil imagination will tell you, "Look at your family; how many people live to be 40 years old? How many marriages succeeded?" but the Scripture says you should, "Cast down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."

When the devil brings up those evil imaginations, tell the devil to watch and see how you will be the first person to escape those negative family patterns.

Don't ever forget this as long as you live: it is unto you according to your faith. It is also unto you according to your thought. For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. Proverbs 23:7.

Most times, things don't happen to people by accident; it is according to their thoughts. Ephesians 3:20.

So, God does not only answer your asking; He also answers your thinking.

Some time ago, I wanted to assist a young man who has been stranded for years. I wanted to assist him with some money to start up a business. I told him, "I have money for you. What can you do? What is on your mind?” He said he wanted to think about it. I didn’t see him again until about six months later. I asked him again what he wanted to do. To my surprise, he replied, "I will see you when I am sure of what to do."

Can you imagine hearing that from a man who was stranded?
That was the first time I heard from God that most times, things don't happen to people by accident. Since you don't know people's minds, you cannot determine their actions. I thought the man was stranded because of a demonic attack; little did I know it was a mental attack— mental bankruptcy.

Beloved, be determined to think well; you can't think up and stay down in life. You can't think forward and go backward. You can't think authority and end up in captivity.

Attune your mind to positive inspiration and revelation. Attuning your mind is a continuous assignment because everything in our world wants to confront your mind and make you wonder if you are the next victim. When you hear bad news, there is a tendency for it to affect your mindset negatively. So, you watch what flows into your mind continually.

REMEMBER THIS: It is not possible to think up and stay down in life.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Renew your mind daily with the Word of God.
2. Confront every negative thought with the light of the Scripture.

PRAYER: Father, I attune my mind with the light of Your Word, and I refuse to think downwards. I cast down evil imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. And I bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: THE UMPIRE CALLED INNER PEACE Called.

SCRIPTURE:
And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds… Colossians 3:15 AMP

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Never struggle to feel good about what you have lost your peace about.

Many years ago, I came home for holidays as a medical student, and I met someone prophesying. The moment I heard and saw the person, every peace in me disappeared. I became uncomfortable. I was troubled within me even though everyone was praising the person as someone used by the mighty power of God. I said, “No! this is not God.” In a short while, it was confirmed.

At another time, I was meant to travel for an event that was family related, but I had zero peace. Everything was set; flight movement was ready. But when I received the signal, I said, “I would not go on this trip.” The outcome of it was that I thanked God that I did not embark on the trip because of what played out. If I had been there, it would have been disastrous.

It is important to note that one of the ways God speaks to us is through the inner peace, peace of mind. God uses the presence or absence of inward peace to confirm whether a certain decision is right or wrong (Psalm 85:8). The Voice of the Lord carries peace; His direction carries peace. And our anchor scripture makes it abundantly clear that the peace of God shall serve as an umpire, that is, a referee over our heart. The presence of peace signals green light; it means, “Move!” The absence of peace signals red light, meaning, “Don’t move, there is danger ahead! Then, there is a realm where you are not so sure; it indicates yellow light, and it means, “Wait until you can tell what you are sensing.”

Beloved, never struggle to feel good about what you have lost your peace about. If you are considering any issue and you have lost your peace, don’t force yourself. Saul lost the kingdom and missed out from the will of God by forcing himself (1Samuel 13:12). Saul said, …I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering. Anything you are forcing yourself to do, check it, something maybe wrong. Don’t force yourself to go on a journey that you have no peace about.

REMEMBER THIS: Never struggle to feel good about what you have lost your peace about.

ASSIGNMENT(S):

1. Take at least 30 minutes to one hour and pray in the Spirit daily to sharpen your spiritual sensitivity.

2. Never make decisions when you have no peace of mind.

3. Secure God’s approval before embarking on major destiny decisions.

PRAYER: Lord, help me not to miss my way in life. Help me to be sensitive to Your direction as I journey through this life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
