Hair Loss

Hair loss in women is always a concern to women. Beauty of a woman is mostly associated to her hair.
Like the saying goes “The beauty of a woman lies on her hair.”

When a woman experiences hair loss, styling her hair becomes a challenge.

What is HAIR LOSS in women?

Hair loss in women is when a woman experiences an unexpected, heavy loss of hair.
A normal human being sheds between 50 -100 single hairs per day.

Shedding hair is part of a natural balance as some hairs will fall out ,for others to grow in But, when more hairs fall out than it grows in ,then the balance is interrupted, what occurs is called hair loss.

Hair loss is different from hair shedding.
The medical term for hair loss is “Alopecia.”
If you are shedding more than 125 hairs daily and notice bald spots, then, you are likely experiencing hair loss, therefore you need to see a Dermatologist.

There are different types and possible causes of hair loss.
Types of hair loss may include:

Telogen effluvium
Anagen effluvium
Alopecia areata
Androgenic Alopecia etc.

All of the types of hair loss mentioned above, have their different causes.
