RAISING A SAFER GENERATION: POCACOV’S CALL TO END CULTISM, OTHER SOCIAL VICES
In the collective pursuit of safer communities and a secure future for our youth, the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) issues a renewed and urgent call to students, parents, schools, and community leaders. The rising cases of cultism, drug abuse, cybercrime, and other destructive behaviors threaten not only the dreams of young people but the stability of society at large.
Cultism destroys destinies. Drug abuse wastes precious potential. Crime cuts life short.
Yet, together, we hold the power to change this narrative.
The POCACOV Ondo State Command strongly encourages every young person to embrace education over intimidation, purpose over peer pressure, and character over crime. Parents are urged to stay connected to their children’s lives, schools to intensify moral and civic education, and communities to foster mentorship, guidance, and positive peer influence.
Now more than ever, we must unite to promote peace, discipline, and responsibility.
We must empower our youth with opportunities—not weapons or harmful influences.
We must collectively raise a generation grounded in integrity, resilience, and vision.
POCACOV… partnering with communities for a safer and better society.

🚫 SAY NO TO DRUG ABUSE AND SOCIAL VICES!
An Awareness Message from the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), Ondo State Command
Drug abuse and other social vices continue to threaten the peace, safety, and future of our communities. Every act of indulgence in drugs, cultism, cybercrime, and related offences leads to broken dreams, shattered families, and a weakened society.

We believe that every young person deserves a chance to live purposefully — free from addiction and social ills.
Parents, schools, religious bodies, community leaders, and youth organizations must rise to the task of shaping a drug-free generation. Together, we can build a society where discipline, integrity, and productivity triumph over vices.
Remember, drug abuse destroys lives; staying clean preserves your future.

GUARD YOUR CHOICES, SECURE YOUR FUTURE: THE POWER OF SAYING NO TO VICES
Every great future begins with disciplined choices. In a world where negative influences surround us, true strength lies in the courage to say no— no to cultism, drug abuse, internet fraud, and other social vices that destroy dreams. Every vice may appear as a shortcut, but it is a trap that leads only to regret.
The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), Ondo State Command, reminds every youth that integrity is not weakness but power; the power to rise above peer pressure and pursue purpose-driven living.
Build your worth through hard work, not quick fixes; through positive influence, not destructive habits.
Remember, your destiny shines brighter when your conscience remains clear. Choose discipline today because your life, your name, and your future are worth more than fleeting pleasures.

YOUR CHOICES DEFINE YOUR TOMORROW
In today’s society, the pressure to “fit in” or “belong” often pushes young people toward wrong decisions. Remember — every choice you make today shapes the story of your tomorrow.
👉 Choose integrity over shortcuts.
👉 Choose peace over violence.
👉 Choose hard work over fraud.
👉 Choose learning over laziness
👉 Choose life over cultism, drugs, and crime.
You are never too young to make a difference. Let your values, not peer pressure, guide your actions. Stay law-abiding, be productive, and make your family and community proud.

POCACOV AND THE IMPERATIVE OF VALUE REORIENTATION FOR A SAFER SOCIETY
The increasing rate of social vices among young people remains a major threat to national stability and community peace. In response, the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), an initiative of the Nigeria Police Force, continues to advance a preventive approach anchored on value reorientation, community engagement, and partnership across Ondo State and beyond.
POCACOV’s philosophy rests on the understanding that crime prevention begins with the mind. The campaign is not merely about policing offences but transforming attitudes, reshaping behaviour, and nurturing a culture of moral responsibility among the youth. Its focus on preventive advocacy seeks to address the root causes of criminality—cultism, drug abuse, internet fraud, and peer pressure—by redirecting attention towards positive values, education, and skill development.
Central to the organisation’s message is the need for young people to make informed and responsible life choices. As the campaign emphasises, “Every young person must realise that their future depends on the decisions they make today.” This reminder underscores the painful reality that involvement in cultism or criminal ventures often leads to destruction, regret, and wasted potential.
To help young people navigate these challenges, POCACOV promotes practical steps such as avoiding harmful peer groups, rejecting drug and substance abuse, and steering clear of fraudulent or criminal pursuits. The campaign also stresses respect for the rule of law, peacebuilding, and responsible social media engagement as essential traits of model citizenship.
However, the task of moral regeneration cannot rest on the youth alone. Parents, teachers, religious leaders, and community stakeholders all share the responsibility of shaping young minds through consistent mentorship and by modelling integrity. In communities where adults lead by example, the tendency for deviance diminishes significantly.
POCACOV’s long-term vision aligns with national aspirations for peace and development. It believes that genuine nation-building must be anchored on discipline, lawful conduct, and a collective commitment to raising responsible citizens. By promoting dialogue, partnership, and enlightenment rather than fear or punishment, the campaign continues to “change the narrative” in Nigeria’s fight against social vices.
Ultimately, POCACOV’s message is clear and urgent: building a safer, progressive, and morally upright society begins with individual choices — and every citizen has a role to play.
POCACOV — Changing the Narrative through Value Reorientation, Community Engagement, and Partnership.
