What is Hantavirus?

Hantavirus is a rare but serious viral infection spread mainly through contact with infected rodents, especially through their urine, droppings, or saliva. People can become infected when they breathe in contaminated dust particles.

Common Symptoms

Fever and chills

Headache

Muscle aches

Fatigue

Cough and shortness of breath

Nausea or vomiting

Prevention Tips

Keep your environment clean

Avoid contact with rodents and their droppings

Seal holes in homes to prevent rodent entry

Wear gloves and masks when cleaning dusty areas

Store food properly

Important Reminder

Early detection and proper medical care can save lives. If symptoms develop after exposure to rodents, seek medical attention immediately.
