Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has approved the appointment of 1,659 workers in the FCT Administration (FCTA).
The workers were first employed in 2016 and 2019. The approval came after a confirmation exam where 2,281 out of 2,512 candidates took part.
This decision is meant to officially confirm and regularize the jobs of these workers.

Olatunji Disu, the Inspector General of Police, has removed Akin Fakorede as the head of the IGP Monitoring Unit in Abuja.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has increased the price of petrol again for the second time in four days.
the price has risen from ₦960 to ₦967 per litre. The new price is already being used at NNPCL filling stations in Abuja and nearby areas.
Other filling stations are now selling petrol between ₦967 and ₦1,000 per litre.
