EPISODE 4 — THE FIRST BUSINESS

“SHE STARTED HER FIRST BUSINESS WITH MONEY SHE HAD BORROWED… AND LOST EVERYTHING IN 30 DAYS.”

After graduation, Amara couldn't find a good job.

Instead of giving up, she remembered something her mother used to say: 😭
“If nobody opens a door for you, build one.”

Amara started a small food-processing business from her mother's backyard.

She borrowed money.

Bought a few machines.

Bought packaging materials.

Created her first product.

She was excited.

But after one month…
Disaster.

Her products didn't sell.

She lost almost everything.

Her creditors began calling.

Some people laughed.

“You went to university and this is what you are doing?”

Amara cried that night.

But the next morning, she woke up.
She studied the market.

She discovered what customers actually wanted.

She changed the packaging.

Improved the product.

Started selling online.

And tried again on
This time, people noticed.

Orders began arriving.
One.

Then ten.
Then fifty.
Then hundreds.

Her tiny backyard business was becoming something much bigger.

EPISODE 3 — THE UNIVERSITY BATTLE

“SHE ENTERED UNIVERSITY WITH ONE PAIR OF SHOES… AND LEFT WITH A DREAM THAT WOULD CHANGE THE WORLD.”

Amara gained admission to study Business Administration.

Her family celebrated.

But the celebration didn't last long.

University was expensive.

Accommodation was expensive.

Books were expensive.

Food was expensive.

Amara often survived on one meal a day.

She washed clothes for other students.

She sold snacks.

She cleaned rooms.

During holidays, she worked at a small market stall.

She would attend lectures in the morning and work until late at night.

There were nights she returned to her room exhausted, dropped her bag on the floor and simply cried.

One evening, her roommate found her sitting beside her bed.

“Amara, what's wrong?”

“I am tired.”

“Then rest.”

Amara shook her head.

“If I rest too long, poverty will catch me.”

Her roommate didn't know what to say.

Amara wiped her tears.

“I didn't come here to be comfortable.

I came here to change my life.”

Years later, that sentence would become famous.

EPISODE 2 — THE DAY SHE ALMOST GAVE UP

“HER TEACHER FOUND HER CRYING INSIDE THE CLASSROOM… AND WHAT SHE SAID CHANGED HER LIFE FOREVER.”

Amara stopped attending school for several days.

Not because she wanted to.

Because there was no money.

She stayed home helping her mother sell roasted groundnuts by the roadside.

One afternoon, her teacher, Mrs.

Grace, came looking for her.

“Why haven't you been in school?”

Amara couldn't answer.

Then the tears came.

“My parents can't afford my fees.”

Mrs. Grace sat beside her.

“You want to continue?”

Amara nodded.

“More than anything.”

Her teacher reached into her handbag.

She brought out an envelope.

“Go back to school.”

Amara stared at her.

“Ma, I can't take this.”

“You can.”

“But I'll pay you back.”

Mrs. Grace smiled.

“Then promise me something.”

“What?”

“When you become successful, don't forget children who are where you are today.”

Amara held the envelope against her chest.

“I promise.”

That promise became the foundation of her entire life.

She returned to school.

And something changed.

She stopped studying merely to pass exams.

She began studying because she desperately wanted to escape poverty.

She read under the kerosene light.

She studied before sunrise.

She studied after everyone had gone to sleep.

Eventually, she became one of the best students in her school.

DO YOU THINK THIS WILL MAKE AMARA FIGHT POVERTY?

EPISODE 1 — THE GIRL WHO WALKED THROUGH THE RAIN

“SHE WALKED 7 KILOMETERS TO SCHOOL EVERY DAY… BUT ONE DAY, SHE WALKED HOME CRYING BECAUSE SHE HAD NO SCHOOL FEES.”

Amara was born in a small Nigerian village where poverty was not something people discussed.

It was simply life.

Her family lived in a tiny mud house with a leaking roof.

Whenever rain fell, her mother would place bowls underneath the holes in the ceiling.

Sometimes there were more holes than bowls.

Her father was a struggling farmer.

Some days he returned home with enough food for the family.

Other days, he returned with nothing.

But Amara had one thing her poverty could not take away from her.

She loved school.

Every morning before sunrise, she helped her mother fetch water, swept the compound, prepared food for her younger siblings and then began the long walk to school.

She walked through scorching sunlight.

She walked through muddy roads.

She walked through rain.

Sometimes her uniform was already wet before she reached the classroom.
Her classmates laughed.

“Look at Amara. She doesn't even have proper shoes.”

She pretended not to hear them.

One afternoon, after another terrible storm, Amara arrived home soaking wet.

Her father was sitting outside.

She immediately knew something was wrong.

“Papa?”

He looked at her.

Then he lowered his eyes.

“I don't have your school fees.”

Amara froze.

“But Papa… exams are next week.”

“I know.”

“Please, Papa.”

Her father turned away so she wouldn't see the tears in his eyes.

“I am sorry, my daughter.”

That night, Amara cried silently beside her sleeping mother.

But before she slept, she whispered:

“One day, I will change this family's story.”

And she meant it.

Did you think 🤔 by going to school 🎒 Amara could change her family story?

of my 30 days posting challenge

I called my husband on the phone to ask him for money so I could cook but a police officer picked it up.He asked me who I am to my husband and I replied that I'm his wife .He then told me to come to Safe Life Hospital because my husband had an accident.

In fear and distress I quickly dressed up and rushed to the hospital. When I got there he was unconscious .I was nervous but kept hoping he survives ..I was not ready to be a widow at 35 years with 3 kids .

The hospital requested money to buy blood.I immediately transferred all the 50 thousand naira in my account. But they still needed more money to deposit .The policeman handed my husband's phone to me so that I could open it and make payment to the hospital .

Shamefully, I couldn't open it because I do not know his password...

All efforts to open it were abortive .I didn't even have any idea of what the password might be.

The policeman was so angry that how would i not be able to open my husband's phone ..Well it is what it is

I just assured the hospital that they should continue with the treatment that I will rally round to get them paid.

Not up to 30 min his phone rang and the contact was saved as "source of joy" .The policeman picked and put it on speaker. It was a lady's voice saying "baby you didn't even call me" I was shocked 😦😲😳

The policeman asked her who she is to him and she said she's a friend. The policeman asked again, a friend or a girlfriend? and she said a girlfriend..He said she should come to the hospital because her boyfriend had an accident.

In fact not less than 20 minutes. She got to the hospital. After some talks ,the policeman asked her if she knows his password that the hospital needed some funds and she said YES.. My head travelled ...Mind you ,she doesn't know I'm the wife or whatever .The police already warned me not to fight her when she comes.

The police asked her to call the password. She did and i Immediately saved it on my head .I stylishly pressed it on my phone so I won't forget.Hmmm .What i the wife didn't know a concubine knows it.Men will stain your White

The policeman transferred a sum of 200 thousand naira to the hospital in the presence of all of us to avoid any fraudulent.. Now his girlfriend said he wanted to be going as she has other things to fix.

The policeman asked her who would stay with him and this woman bluntly said "He has a wife .Put a call through to his wife".If he dies now , where would I carry him to ?" I was shocked .Why because I thought she didn't know he's married. Maybe she was being deceived by my husband. But guess what ?she knows ....She left the hospital. The policemen left too

I had already told a neighbor to look after the children for me.I then unlocked the phone. My husband has 8 million in his account and I didn't even have 80k as a wife .

I checked the transaction between him and his girlfriend 😞 he even transferred 1.5million to her that same day. This man has never given me 100k before .I felt pitied for myself .Looking like a mad researched woman while my husband is doing financially okay

The least he has sent to this lady was 500k ..In this year alone he has given her more than 5 million and I was there taking care of the children even with the little I have as a petty trader in which my family contributed for me so I can have something to do.

I checked their chats ,I felt a cold within me I was shaking. They were doing all things together .He has never licked me .But he licks this lady each time they want to have a thing together ..I'm not a dirty woman and I'm very beautiful to the best of my knowledge. This was the man that begged before I accepted to date him then back in the uni.

I immediately transferred 5 million to my account leaving the rest for hospital needs and the surgery he wants to do .His spinal cord was broken .

Now my husband won't be able to walk for now only in the wheelchair ..Do you think I deserve to bear that stress?

He was an abusive husband. He cheated on me several times, he doesn't make love to me , he tortured me both physically and emotionally.I saw hell. He killed my self esteem .I saw a pure hatred in this man.He detests me so much.I would beg and cry to love me.He knows I am not a cheating type.I would have to cry for him to make love to me .Even when he does . He won't kiss me.No connection . No affection.Nothing .I really suffered

The business I'm doing ,my family opened it for me. So many countless sleepless nights.I would cry and hold his leg to pity me .He would kick me up or shout at me that my cry is disturbing him

It was when I had access to his phone that I knew he earned 800k as salary .He has been working for 10 years .Nothing to show for it .

I had to run away with my children and with the 5m I took from his account .

They are calling me wicked. But I don't care . I can't take care of a man who didn't take care of me when he was healthy

Let his girlfriend take care of him

When I needed him ,I didn't see him . Let him deal with it, so help me GOD..
Do you think I did well?

Things are happening 🤔🤔.
