CHIN CHIN RECIPE
Ingredients:
8 cups (1kg) of All purpose Flour
100g of Corn Flour
200g of Butter (melted)
200ml of evaporated liquid milk
1/2 teaspoon of Baking powder
100g - 150g of granulated Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoonful of ground Nutmeg Or Cinnamon Powder
4 fresh Eggs
Vegetable Oil (for frying)
100ml Water
Preparation:
Step 1.
Sieve in all your dry ingredients (except your sugar) in a bowl, mix well using a spatula and set it aside.
Step 2.
Pour in your sugar in the milk so it softens and melts, then set it aside.
Step 3.
Creat a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and pour in your milk and sugar mixture, melted butter, eggs and water and mix it well using your clean hand till it forms a dough.
Step 4.
Once that's done, transfer it to your work surface and dust some flour on the suface and rolling pin.
Roll it to your desired length and height, then cut it using either a knife or pizza cutter.
Step 5.
Heat your pan or pot with vegetable oil in it on the cooker or stove. Once hot enough, Fry the chin chin, making sure to flip them from time to time till it is golden brown.
