TO Hello Omajuwa. I am a 26year old lady. My 35 year old boyfriend and I have been dating for close to 5years. I love him so much as he really gets me and I strongly believe he is my soulmate. He has been talking about us getting married before the end of the year. I told him about how we need to be more financially stable before thinking about getting married. His salary is 60,000naira while mine is 70,000naira.

He said he has been making moves and plans as he feels marriage is the right step to take in our lives. I insisted on we waiting awhile longer as the economic situation in this country does not make it wise for us to start a family this way. This led to a huge fight. We did not speak for 4days. When he came to my house the 4th day to apologize, he asked if I had changed my mind. I said no. So we made up and continued our relationship. That was June last year.

However, few days ago, one of our mutual friends sent me invitation card of his wedding. This man that I have persevered with for 5years is getting married to another woman in April and is still behaving as if all is well. Why would he do this to me? Was he deceiving me all along? How was he able to hide a whole serious relationship from me? Was I wrong? Can I still get my man back? I don’t even know how to feel or what to do. Please advise me.

Current Situation in Nigeria

Poor is getting poorer

Before now, all he spends on are food, clothing and shelter. No shishi is left for luxury. Especially if he's responsible.

Now, a man with one wife and 3 children with 100k earning per month can only spend on food. Others, he struggle with. There is school fees to be paid, parents and siblings to take care of, rent to pay, bills keep mounting.

Govts at all levels are feeding fat claiming they are poorer.

Current policies of FG have a hope of benefitting the poor in the long run. But, in the long run, the rich would have manoeuvred the riches again.

State govt policy is to expand govt bureaucracy. Create job for the boys. Oysada that took over agric four years ago, how far??

The rich gets richer, the poor gets poorer.

Who will help the poor??

Federal govt?? State Govt?? Or the comatose LG??

كَم مِّن فِئَةٍ قَلِيلَةٍ غَلَبَتْ فِئَةً
كَثِيرَةً بِإِذْنِ اللَّـهِ ۗ وَاللَّـهُ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ

How oft, by Allah's will, Hath a small force vanquished a big one? Allah is with those who steadfastly persevere

وَاللَّـهُ يَقْبِضُ وَيَبْسُطُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

It is Allah that giveth (you) Want or plenty, and to Him shall be your return (Q2 :245)

Whatever your needs, ask Allah first. He has it in abundance.

مَّن ذَا الَّذِي يُقْرِضُ اللَّـهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا فَيُضَاعِفَهُ لَهُ أَضْعَافًا

Who is he that will loan to Allah a beautiful loan, which Allah will double unto his credit and multiply many times? (Q2:245)

Give alms no matter how little!
