You can fast and pray for eternity, it is your choice. It won’t exalts a nation at all, only if we can turn away from sin for God to hear our prayers.

2 Chronicles 7:14 says
if my people, which are called by my name, shall HUMBLE themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their NATION.

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people. Proverb 14 vs 34
