Their only crime was going to school and you still call this a country?

They carried books, not weapons. They chased dreams, not trouble. They wanted an education, not a tragedy.
Yet they were abducted, traumatized, and robbed of the safety every child deserves.
And we're still expected to call this a normal country?

A nation that cannot protect its children cannot claim to be truly secure.
My heart breaks for every child taken, every parent living in fear, and every classroom left empty.

Happy Children’s Day… but some children are still missing. 🇳🇬💔

Today, many children will laugh, dance, wear matching outfits, and feel loved.
But somewhere in Nigeria, some parents are staring at old photos… praying to see their children again.
Some desks are empty.
Some beds have not been slept in for months.
Some mothers still wake up at midnight
hoping the phone will ring.

Dear country, how do we forget our own? As we celebrate Children’s Day, let us not forget the innocent children who were abducted, displaced, silenced, or denied the simple right to feel safe.
Every child deserves: Protection, Education,Love and Freedom and a future without fear.

May Nigeria become a country where children are known for their dreams — not for being missing headlines.
Today, hug your children tighter.
Pray for the missing ones.
Speak up for the vulnerable.
And never stop demanding a safer nation for every child.
Always remember, every child is your Child.

Learn not to only celebrate people when they are gone.
Celebrate the living, Help the needy and Love freely.
Life has no duplicate!
