So if you watched this video, you know there IS something to worry about concerning EMF.

Exactly WHAT are these potential health dangers? Well, let’s start by talking about some of the diseases that some studies have shown can be caused by electromagnetic radiation:

Asthma. A study in California followed 626 children for 13 years. It found that magnetic fields greater than 0.3 mG (average) during pregnancy increased the child’s risk of getting asthma by age 13. A clear dose-response was found. For every 1mG increase in EMF there was a 15% increased rate of asthma in the children.

This means, for example, that children of mothers whose average exposure was 2mG during pregnancy were 3.5 times as likely to suffer from asthma during childhood. Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine – August 2011.

Salivary Gland Cancer. An Israeli study reports that people who used cell phones for 22 hours a month or more were 50 percent more likely to develop parotid gland cancer than those who used cell phones infrequently or never. American Journal of Epidemiology – December 2007.

Brain Tumour. An analysis of several previous studies has concluded that cell phone use over 10 years causes an increased risk of acquiring certain types of brain tumour (2.4 times for acoustic neuroma and 2 times for gliomas). Pubmed – September 2007

Lymphatic Cancer and Bone Marrow Cancer.
Researchers from the University of Tasmania and the University of Bristol studied records of 850 patients who had been diagnosed with lymphatic and bone marrow cancers. They concluded that people living within 300 metres of a high voltage power line for extended periods (particularly in childhood) were up to five times more likely to develop these diseases later in life. Miscarriage. Researchers in California found that EMFs from electrical appliances (such as domestic vacuum cleaners, hairdryers and food mixers) could significantly increase the risk of miscarriage. New Scientist, January 2002.

Su***de. American researchers found that the rate of su***de among 5000 electricity utility workers who were exposed to extremely low frequency EMFs was double that of a control group of the same size. The effect was particularly noticeable among young workers. (Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine March 15, 2000). Western Journal of Medicine – August 2000.

These are some of the most serious known effects of EMF. Many other effects have been reported Yet more may be currently unknown, unconfirmed or unreported.

Cell Tower Health Effects
A survey study using a questionnaire was conducted in 2002 by Roger Santini (See Pubmed). The questionnaire was sent to 530 people living in the vicinity of cell towers (mobile phone base stations).

People who said they lived closer to a cell tower complained significantly more often – about a whole range of health issues – than those living further away. Here is a graph showing those results – which I can no longer find online, unfortunately – but the study is available on Pubmed. This image as presented here is a little hard to decipher, but I think you will get the gist of it.

Mother and baby cured of Ebola with new drugs, doctors say

Esperance Nabintu and her one-year-old son, Ebenezer Fataki, had been declared cured of Ebola, in Goma, Congo Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019. The two were treated with new anti-Ebola drugs by top doctors who said that the disease can be cured if people seek proper care.

A mother and young son with Ebola who were treated with new drugs in the city of Goma in eastern Congo have been declared “cured” and returned to their home.

Top doctors fighting Ebola quickly used the case on Tuesday to press the message that people can recover from the potentially deadly disease if they seek proper care.

Ebola is dangerous but it is also curable with correct treatment, said Dr. Jean-Jacques Muyembe, director of Congo’s National Institute for Biomedical Research.

World Medical Association warns doctors not to enforce Caster Semenya rules

The World Medical Association Sunday urged doctors not to enforce controversial new IAAF gender rules for classifying female athletes, warning that attempts to do so would breach ethical codes.

It follows South African runner Caster Semenya last week losing her court challenge against the International Association of Athletic Federations over plans to force some women to regulate their testosterone levels.

The decision by the Court of Arbitration for Sport means that female athletes with elevated testosterone will have to take suppressive treatment if they wish to compete as women in certain events.

The IAAF argued that athletes like the two-time Olympic champion had an unfair advantage over others.

But World Medical Association chairman Frank Ulrich Montgomery advised doctors to play no part in enforcing the rules during an interview with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

“We do think it is extremely serious if international sports regulations demand physicians to prescribe medication — hormonally active medication — for athletes in order to reduce normal conditions in their body,” he said.

In a 2-1 decision, CAS judges dismissed Semenya’s appeal against the measures targeting “hyperandrogenic” athletes — or those with “differences of sexual development” (DSD).

They said that although the rules were “discriminatory ... such discrimination is a necessary, reasonable and proportionate means of achieving the IAAF’s aim of preserving the integrity of female athletics in the Restricted Events“.

Montgomery said that for women with DSD “it is just normal to be androgenic and there is nothing pathological about the situation of this athlete“.

“No physician can be forced to administer these drugs, and we definitely urge our colleagues to refrain from giving hormonally active medication to athletes simply because some regulations demand it,” he added.

“If physicians do apply these drugs they do break ethical codes.

“The basic ethical code of all medical practice is never do harm, and it is doing harm to a perfectly normal body with just a rather high level of testosterone by administering drugs to use this in order to make them eligible for women’s sport under these regulations.”

The DSD rules — first adopted last year but suspended pending the legal battle — are due to come into effect on May 8.

Semenya is mulling an appeal. Montgomery said the argument that Semenya had an unfair advantage over others didn’t make sense, using the height of some basketball players to make his point.

“The next issue would be that we demand basketball players who are taller than 2.25 metres should reduce their height surgically to something else because, of course, they do have an advantage over other basketball players that are somewhat smaller,” he said.

“So where is the limit to this? And therefore we say medicine shouldn’t interfere with non-pathological situations simply to enhance sports activities.”
