مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُبْسَطَ لَهُ فِي رِزْقِهِ، وَأَنْ يُنْسَأَ لَهُ فِي أَثَرِهِ، فَلْيَصِلْ رَحِمَهُ
“Whoever wishes for their provision to be increased and their lifespan to be extended, let them maintain their ties of kinship.”
Sahih al-Bukhari

وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ
“When My servants ask you about Me, indeed I am near.”
Qur’an 2:186

Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz (رحمه الله) said:

إذا رأيتم الرجل يطيل الصمت، ويهرب من الناس; فاقربوا منه، فإنه يُلقّى الحكمة

When you see a man who prolongs silence and keeps away from people, then draw close to him, for he is being taught wisdom.

“The strong person is not the one who overcomes people through strength, but the one who controls himself while in anger.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)
Reflection:
True strength isn’t physical it’s the ability to master your own emotions. Anyone can lash out; it takes real strength to pause, breathe, and respond with control when provoked. The Prophet ﷺ redefined power as self-mastery, not domination over others.
Action for Today:
Next time you feel anger rising, pause and say “Astaghfirullah” before reacting.

أَرَأَيْتُمْ لَوْ أَنَّ نَهْرًا بِبَابِ أَحَدِكُمْ يَغْتَسِلُ فِيهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ، هَلْ يَبْقَى مِنْ دَرَنِهِ شَيْءٌ؟
“If there were a river at the door of one of you in which he bathed five times a day, would any dirt remain on him?”
The Prophet ﷺ said this as an example of the five daily prayers wiping away sins

Ya ALLAH, we have been opportuned to witness today just by Your RAHMA. Everyone of us have our struggles, pains, and hopes. Ya ALLAH, You are AR-RAHMAN, AR-RAHEEM, there is no ease except what you make easy. You have power over all things. Substitute our lacks with surplus, our fears with security, our sadness with happiness, strengthen our faith, grant us all our heart desires in this world and hereafter, make Aljanna Firdaus our final abode. Juma'at Mubarak!
