The PANS BUK Chapter, was proudly represented at the PharmacoSymposium organized by PANS ABU, Zaria.🥼💊

Our able PANS BUK President, Umar Nasir Huzaifa, represented the entire PANS BUK family with dignity, professionalism, and distinction.

His presence at the symposium not only demonstrated the capacity and readiness of PANS BUK to engage beyond its local chapter but also served as a reflection of the strength, unity, and reputation of our association.

Beyond representation, the event provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen the relationship between PANS BUK and PANS ABU Zaria, fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, networking, and mutual growth among pharmacy students.

Such engagements create lasting connections and contribute to building a stronger and more united pharmacy student community.

PANS-BUK PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF DMCSA, KANO STATE
Kano State Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency - DMCSA

On Wednesday, 29th July 2026, the Executive Council of the Pharmaceutical Association of Nigerian Students (PANS), Bayero University Kano Chapter, paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of the Drug and Medical Consumables Supply Agency (DMCSA), Kano State.

Led by the President of the Association, the delegation included key members of the Executive Council. The visit was aimed at formally introducing the new administration, presenting its vision and priorities, and strengthening collaboration with the Agency.

During the meeting, the President appreciated the Director General for his outstanding leadership and efforts toward improving access to quality and affordable medicines across Kano State. He also presented the administration's priorities and unveiled plans for the Association's forthcoming 10th Anniversary Celebration.

As part of the visit, the Director General was invited to have the anniversary named in his honour and to serve as the Patron of PANS-BUK. The proposed PANS Week budget brochure was also presented to him.

In his response, the Director General welcomed the delegation and shared the remarkable transformation of DMCSA under his leadership. He highlighted the Agency's role in ensuring the availability of quality and affordable medicines through the Drug Revolving Scheme, noting the significant increase in medicine availability at public healthcare facilities from about 30% to 90%.

He further encouraged the student leaders to embrace pharmacy as a profession dedicated to service to humanity, emphasizing that true fulfilment comes from making a positive impact on people's lives.

The Director General graciously accepted the request to have the 10th Anniversary Celebration named in his honour and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting PANS-BUK within his capacity.

The visit concluded with a closing prayer and a group photograph, marking a memorable step toward stronger collaboration between PANS-BUK and DMCSA.

PANS-BUK remains committed to building strategic partnerships that promote pharmacy education, professional development, and quality healthcare delivery.

This was more than a courtesy visit—it was a step toward a stronger partnership and a brighter future for pharmacy.
