Being born as a last child to an aged parent would sound like a luxury right?
Well, that was not my case o.
My daddy was 65yrs old when he had me, my mum who was the younger one was always very busy and Occupied with her teaching job trying really hard to make ends meet, May God bless her blessed memory.
Growing up as a female child with only an aged father wasn't funny o....but I didn't have a choice, my Dad was the one who taught me everything I needed to know as a young girl, can you picture that??? "how to use sanitary pads correctly, how to sew my loose clothes, how to wash and lots more".
Omo, that situation greatly influenced my decisions while growing up, i really wanted to be close to my children especially the female ones..because there are struggles i couldn't share with my dad being a male back then....so I couldn't even afford to repeat such cycles for my children.
If cycles must not be repeated, then i must be a present parent for my children, especially the females.
Fast forward to when i got married and moved to Lagos.....everywhere so crowded here and everyone is always busy.
Omo, i started posting everywhere for work from home opportunities on all the platforms i could lay my hands on...
Boom i welcomed a daughter in 2019 without anything to generate my personal income....this left me really sad...i had to pick up a store keeper job just to boost myself esteem, this required me dropping my 5 months old daughter in a creche as early as 6;30am because I needed to be at the shop by 7am for a 25k salary o.
Choi, my daughter was always falling sick very often and was malnourished....but I also needed to make ends meet (that didn't still get to meet😂)
Thank God for Covid 19, in 2020....the store shut down and we were all asked to go home.
