I am saying it again, if you are not expecting m0ney from anyone and you suddenly receive m0ney in your acc0unt, don't t@mper with that m0ney.

If a str@nger calls you on phone and tells you that he/she m!staken|y sent you m0ney and b£gs you to send it back into an acc0unt he/she will provide you, please, don't s£nd the m0ney back if it's not the same acc0unt number that sent you the m0ney.

Some will ent!ce you by saying you should take like ₦100,000 from the m0ney for the inc0nveniences and send back the rest.

If you sp£nd the m0ney or s£nd it to a different acc0unt, you might l@nd yourself in tr0ub|e if the m0ney is from a fr@udst£r and your acc0unt was h@cked to move the m0ney.

When that fraudul£nt tr@nsact!on is being inv£stig@ted, it will be tr@ced to your acc0unt and you will be arr£sted for it.

If you don't know, people walk into the bank and get arr£sted because their acc0unts have been reported.

If you receive such m0ney, quickly do the following:

📍Copy out your b@nk's off!cial email address and send an email to report the al£rt. In the email, tell them you received an unexp£cted m0ney and that they should rev£rse it back to the sender because you don't know how it came about.

📍Print out the email and visit the nearest b@nk branch to report it at the counter. The bank will reverse the m0ney.

📍If the trans@ction had been rep0rted to the police and the b@nk notified, once you come to the bank to do any trans@ction, they will see it that the owner of the acc0unt is wanted.

The bank will just d£lay you until the police arrive to arr£st you. But once you are with the email printout and you are told you are being arr£sted for a fr@udu|ent trans@ction on your acc0unt, your def£nse that you are not part of it will s@ve you because you had sent an email to the bank reporting it.

📍In a case where you are called by someone who claims to be the owner of the m0ney to send it back, when sending it to the exact acc0unt that sent you the m0ney, put a description like "Reversal of unknown m0ney" .

📍If you cannot tell whether the acc0unt number the person sent to you is the same as the acc0unt number that sent it, call your b@nk to confirm the acc0unt number or instruct your b@nk to do the rev£rsal.

Don't rejoice that you have received manna from above because sp£nding that m0ney can c0st you your fr££dom and you will be made to pay back the m0ney for possible exch@nge of your fr££dom.

Avoid that t£mpt@tion!

At 2 a.m., a 13-year-old boy in South Carolina picked up the phone and dialed 911. But it wasn’t for a fire, a robbery, or an emergency like you’d expect. He told the dispatcher, “I’m tired of sleeping on the floor.”

Let that sink in. In one of the richest countries on earth, a child’s “emergency” was not having a bed.

When Officer Gaetano Acerra responded, he thought it was a prank—or maybe something minor. But what he walked into crushed him. Bare walls. No furniture. No decorations. Just a deflated air mattress in the corner and a boy sitting there, exhausted, slumped over like life had already beaten him down at 13 years old.

The boy’s grandmother, who loved him, simply couldn’t afford more than the basics: food and rent. Survival, not comfort. And yet this child still had the courage to call 911—not for money, not for toys—but just for a chance to feel like he mattered.

Most officers would have filed a report and moved on. But Acerra couldn’t shake the image of that room out of his mind. Three days later, he came back—not with paperwork, but with a truck full of furniture. A bed with fresh sheets. A desk and chair for homework. Lamps, decorations, and even a Nintendo Wii.

The boy’s face when he saw his new room? Pure joy. His four bare walls turned into a sanctuary. For the first time, he felt like he mattered.

And here’s the part that should make every single one of us think: it didn’t take a millionaire, a celebrity, or the government to fix this. It took one cop who cared enough to do something.

Officer Acerra said it best: “Sometimes you just know what’s right.”

From Car Wash to First Class: The Inspiring Journey of Muftau Mubarak Sh*ttu Atunlushe

For Muftau Mubarak Sh*ttu Atunlushe, success didn’t come wrapped in comfort. It came through sweat, sleepless nights, and unshakable faith. The son of a palm oil trader and late driver, Atunlushe’s rise from washing cars to graduating with First Class Honours at the University of Ilorin is a story of grit, grace, and growth.

Q: Congratulations on your First Class honour. How does it feel?
Atunlushe: Thank you. It feels surreal, a dream come true. When I remember where I started and all the struggles, I can only say Alhamdulillah. This is more than an academic achievement; it’s proof that perseverance pays.

Q: You’ve often described your background as humble. What was growing up like?
Atunlushe: I lost my father when I was seven. My mother, a palm oil trader, became the sole provider. Life turned very difficult, but she never gave up. I learned strength and resilience from her.

Q: How did you manage schooling with such hardship?
Atunlushe: It was a struggle. I worked at a car wash after school and later at a bakery through the night. At one point, I worked in a block industry too. I knew education was my only escape from poverty, so I endured.

Q: What kept you going through those trying moments?
Atunlushe: My mother’s determination and my faith in God. I always believed my story wouldn’t end in struggle. Every challenge strengthened my resolve to do better.

Q: Why did you choose the University of Ilorin for your degree?
Atunlushe: Unilorin represents discipline and excellence. After my NCE, I wanted a university that shaped both intellect and character, Unilorin offered that and more.

Q: You also served in student leadership. How did that begin?
Atunlushe: (Smiles) I started as Special Assistant on Media to the Senate President of the Offa Students’ Union. Later, I became Senate President and, eventually, National President of the National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS). Leading that body was a privilege — it taught me responsibility and people management.

Q: Balancing leadership and academics must have been tough. How did you manage?
Atunlushe: It was all about discipline. I never lost sight of my academic goals. Sometimes I’d attend meetings all day and still stay up late reading. Focus and planning made it possible.

Q: You also ventured into journalism. Tell us about that.
Atunlushe: Yes, I’m passionate about media. I trained as an online journalist, reporting campus stories and youth issues. Journalism gave me a voice and a platform to advocate for accountability in leadership.

Q: What does this First Class mean to you?
Atunlushe: It means hope. For a boy who once washed cars and baked bread, this is God’s grace in action. It shows that no background is too poor to produce excellence.

Q: What message do you have for young people facing similar challenges?
Atunlushe: Don’t let your background define you. Every hardship is a lesson. Stay focused, stay honest, and believe in your journey. One day, your story will inspire others.

Q: What’s next after graduation?
Atunlushe: I have started my Master Programme at Al-Hikmah University Ilorin, I was also hoping to got a fully sponsor scholarship and continue advocating for education and youth development. My goal is to help build systems that empower young Nigerians to rise above their limitations.

Q: Describe your journey in one sentence.
Atunlushe: From washing cars to earning a First Class, my life is proof that faith, focus, and perseverance make the impossible possible.
