The Biafran Struggle: A Chronicle of Pain, Sabotage, and Hope

I will start this memorable day to write quotes about what Biafrans went through during the genocidal war. The whole fracas started as little disturbances here and there in Northern Nigeria and in the West. The opposing groups, mainly the Yoruba-born Akintola aided by the Saduana of Sokoto, Ahmadu Bello, and Chief Obafemi Awolowo, who had gained support among his tribesmen and some Igbo from Eastern Nigeria.

The question of who would gain supremacy over each other led to killings, which gradually affected the Igbo, especially those living in the North. The Major Nzeogwu-led coup of January 1966 brought the whole war fracas into a reversed arrowhead against the Igbos. From secret and timidly murdered to organized governmental masterminded killings that affected mostly Igbos. This led to a mass return of Igbos from their areas of abode, North or West, to their own region.

Professor Chinua Achebe, who was residing in Lagos then, had this to say: "It was now clear to many of us that we, the Nigerian people, were not what we had thought we were. The Nigeria that meant so much to all of us was not reciprocating the affection we had for it." By the time Professor Chinua Achebe made this remark in his widely read book, "There Was a Country" (an account of the civil war), he was in his post-octogenarian age.

It is full of regrets that things have not changed for the better with the Igbos in Nigeria. In fact, we are seeing the worst of it. There is still marginalization in the Federal government's own parastatals, mass killings, looting of funds by Nigerian aristocrats, demolition of Igbo-owned properties, and hate speech against the Igbos is still nagging. It is only in Nigeria that you will hear your fellow compatriot telling you to go back to your own state.

What played out during the civil war was a blended mixture of sabotage by international interests and the federal government. In the heat of the civil war, His Excellency, Colonel Odumegwu Ojukwu, the Head of State of Biafra, accused Hank Wharton, the Biafran arms dealer, of colluding with the British and the American CIA to sabotage BIAFRA and help Nigeria carry through her "final thrust" into Biafran heartland. Cargoes of arms and ammunition bought by the Biafran government were dumped into the sea during air flights. Tons of new Biafran currency were dumped into the sea to create artificial scarcity in Biafraland.

As part of the sabotage, Goldstein, the Biafran public relations guru who then wrote that "starvation was the most agonizing death that can befall any living creature," in August 13, 1968, addressed a press conference in Washington stating that he was done with Ojukwu and his BIAFRA. Quoting from Goldstein's remark, starvation became an instrument of war that Chief Obafemi Awolowo, the then Finance minister of Nigeria, used to bring BIAFRA to a halt. This quote was credited to Chief Obafemi Awolowo: "All is fair in war, and starvation is a weapon of war. I don't see why we should feed our enemies fat in order for them to fight us harder." So was Obafemi Awolowo's administrative blueprint. His idea of casting Igbos in the role of treasonable felons and wreckers of the nation got the regime to adopt banking policies that nullified any bank account that had been operated during the war by the Biafrans. A flat sum of twenty pounds was approved for each Igbo depositor of the Nigerian currency, regardless of the amount of deposit.

Olusegun Obasanjo, his tribesman, had his own pound of flesh to take from the Igbos. He ordered the closure of the Calabar/PH ports, causing a migrational stampede to Lagos by the Easterners. Igboland was left to its fate to survive in the areas of civil service and trade.

The Pains.
The pains that the Biafrans went through can only be foreshadowed by the statement account of Adekunle (The Black Scorpion), who said this: "I want to see no Red Cross, no Caritas, no Council of Churches, no Pope, no Missionary, and no UN delegations. We shoot at everything that moves, and when our troops march into the center of Igbo territory, we shoot at everything, even at things that do not move." Adekunle was another tribesman of Chief Obafemi Awolowo. Pains and genocide were cooked and poured out hot on Igbos to exterminate.

Genocide Denied: The charges of jihad have also been denied by British officials who asserted that more than half the members of the federal government are Christians, while only 1,000 of the 70,000 federal soldiers are Muslim Hausa from the North. But this is what Dr. Akanu Ibiam, the then Governor of the Eastern region, wrote about Britain: "Your Majesty, I no longer wish to wear the garb of the British Knighthood. British justice and the Englishman's word of honor, which BIAFRA loved so much and cherished, have become meaningless to Biafrans. Christian Britain has shamelessly let down Christian BIAFRA. Other heroes of BIAFRA like Dick Tiger, who returned his medal of boxing championship, Christopher Okigbo, who was rated the first Nigerian poet, and who put aside his intellectual know-how to defend his father's land, are well celebrated today.

We have lived to witness, at least, the present condition of Igbos in the vast Nigerian country, and it is an underestimation to say that the tales of extermination which were told by those that survived the pogrom against Igbos are playing hard again to us. As the song goes: "O'my Comrades see the signal banner is waving high... Victory is near." Today, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, popularly known as Onyendu, Ohamadike 1 of Biafraland, has blown the trumpet of freedom for us to take a cue. He is still standing trials in the Nigerian Court. He will come out victorious. Mazi Simon Ekpa, the Prime Minister of the BIAFRA Republic government in Exile, BRGIE, is standing for him. His moves are assuring. Amongst his achievements is the voting process that is going on now in all Biafraland for the final referendum to occur. He is marvelously doing well, as Onyendu remarked. The heat of his command is blowing hot in the Nigerian military stronghold.

In conclusion, Ojukwu fought the Biafran war during the jet age. His was highly sabotaged by both local, national, and international onlookers. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his fellow strongman, Prime Minister Simon Ekpa, are fighting theirs in the internet age. Sabotage and lying strategies are minimal. BIAFRA has come.

THE IMPENDING GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION IN IMO STATE AND IT'S POTENTIAL RAMIFICATIONS.

INTRODUCTION:
The upcoming Governorship election in Imo State on Saturday, 11th November 2023, has been shrouded in controversy and allegations of conspiracies involving the APC government, INEC, security agents, and incumbent Governor Hope Uzodimma. Simultaneously, there are concerns over the involvement of security agents in a bid to suppress the Biafran separatist movement's stance against the elections. These developments have raised serious concerns about the potential consequences they may have on the state's stability and the well-being of its citizens.

CONSPIRACIES AND ALLEGED PAYMENTS:
There have been claims of collusions between the APC government, INEC, security agents, and Governor Hope Uzodimma, with allegations of the payment of significant sums of money to these actors. These allegations, if proven, undermine the fairness and integrity of the electoral process. Such actions erode public trust in the democratic system and can fuel public discontent and political instability.

VIOLENCE AND UNREST:
Given the controversial nature of the election, the alleged conspiracies, and the potential misuse of security agents, the risk of violence and unrest in Imo State is a grave concern. When citizens perceive the electoral process as unfair or compromised, it can lead to demonstrations, protests, and even outbreaks of violence. In such a charged atmosphere, the security situation may deteriorate, posing serious threats to the safety and well-being of the people.

IMPACT ON NIGERIA-BIAFRA RELATIONS:
The Biafran separatist movement has declared a boycott of the election, as per the Biafran Government in Exile's decree against holding elections in Biafran territory. This act aims to delegitimize Nigeria within Biafra land and signifies a higher likelihood of conflict between Biafra supporters and security forces. The potential clash between these groups could escalate tensions, further alienating the Biafran population and damaging relations between Nigeria and the Biafran movement.

CONSEQUENCES FOR GOVERNANCE:
The success and legitimacy of any government hinge on the acceptance and support of its citizens. If allegations of conspiracy, corruption, and violence surrounding the election are proven true, they will not only undermine public trust in the government but also compromise the ability of elected officials to govern effectively. This can result in prolonged political instability, hampering economic growth, development, and overall progress in Imo State.

CONCLUSION:
The controversies surrounding the Governorship election in Imo State, including alleged conspiracies, payments, and the Biafran separatist movement's boycott, carry significant risks and consequences. The potential for violence, unrest, strained Nigeria-Biafra relations, and governance challenges should not be taken lightly. It is crucial for all parties involved, including the government, INEC, security agents, and citizens, to uphold the principles of fairness, transparency, and respect for democracy. Resolving these issues and ensuring a credible election process is essential to safeguard peace, stability, and the democratic aspirations of the people of Imo State.

THE SUDDEN RUSH BY THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT AND HER ACCOMPLICES (The Expelled Criminals In The Defunct DoS) TO DE-PROSCRIBE IPOB: An Attempt To Further Distract And Disrupt The Biafra Liberation Movement.

It is no longer a rumor that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, was betrayed and sold to the enemy (Nigeria) by the corrupt individuals who surrounded him in disguise of being loyalists to him.
In a bid by the Nigerian terrorist government to put an end to the agitation for the freedom of Biafra and silence the leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the Nigerian government went to extremes after conniving with criminals within the IPOB movement, Igbo politicians, and the Kenyan government to have Mazi Nnamdi Kanu abducted and extraordinarily rendered back to Nigeria, which was a gross violation of his human rights and a breach of international diplomatic laws. After that, IPOB as a body that has been illegally proscribed by the Nigerian state went on a rampage to abduct, detain, and in most cases, kill Igbo youths, tagging them as terrorists. As if that was not enough, with the help of the corrupt DoS members, they started burning markets, homes, and looting/destruction of properties owned by poor Biafrans.

While these killings were happening on a daily basis, the Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government In-Exile, Mazi Simon Ekpa, came into the picture, and with the request of Biafrans, he took up the mantle and created the Biafra Republic Government In-Exile. After which, the velocity of the liberation of Biafra got tremendously increased and took on a new level and dimension. Prime Minister Simon Ekpa made another historic announcement at the just-concluded Biafra self-referendum convention held in Helsinki, Finland, which was codenamed 'The Biafra-Helsinki Declaration 2023.' The convention brought a lot of well-meaning Biafrans, friends, and lovers of freedom from all over the world who came from various countries to grace that great event. Right there, many new developments were unveiled, such as:

1) - The Biafra Liberation Army and the Biafra Resistance Fighters, including the Black Marines (the Biafra Naval Wing).
2) - The Biafra Charter, which was voted for and adopted as a law in Biafraland.
3) - The announcement of the activation of the Biafra Defacto Government In-Homeland, and many more.
At the sight of the unveiling of these bodies, the Nigerian state and the treacherous Defunct DoS members were greatly shocked and could not believe their eyes. This has led them to connive and de-proscribe IPOB without further delay as a measure to fight and work against the Government of Biafra.

The de-proscription of IPOB is a direct plot by the Nigerian government and the treacherous DoS members to get permission from the Nigerian state to come out on the streets of Biafra in order to march with Biafra flags and not be arrested by the Nigerian security agencies. They will bear placards and also chant anti-Biafra Republic Government In-Exile songs and nothing more. In order to please the Nigerian state, which now bankrolls them since they could not succeed in their first shameful attempt in Finland.

Conclusion:
To the heavily bleeding Biafran people, when you see all these things happening, do not be deceived or troubled. As long as we are fighting in truth and honesty, we shall continue to win every single battle ahead. They can only try to stop us, but they can never succeed. They can't stop the restoration of Biafra.

May Chiukwuokike Abiama Bless Mazi Nnamdi Kanu With More Strength and Wisdom to remain incorruptible and unshaken.
May Chiukwuokike Abiama bless every genuine Biafran, the Biafran Prime Minister, Mazi Simon Ekpa, with more strength, wisdom, and power to remain resolute and dogged before our enemies! All must hail Biafra! Iseeee!
