This is how people think👇
They think epidural is just a momentary procedure.
They think once it’s over, the body goes back to normal.
They think if science says it’s safe, then side effects shouldn’t exist.
But an epidural is not just a pinch.
It involves a needle going into the spine.
Through layers of tissue.
Close to nerves that control movement and sensation.
For some women, after delivery,
everything heals — except the back.
The pain may not come immediately.
Sometimes it appears weeks later.
Sometimes months later.
A dull ache.
Sharp pain while bending.
Discomfort while standing or sitting too long.
This doesn’t happen to everyone.
But it does happen to some, it happens to me....
And for those mothers, back pain becomes a daily reminder of what their body went through to bring life into this world.
Calling it a myth doesn’t make the pain disappear.
It only makes the mother feel unheard.
Every body reacts differently.
And when a mother says her back is not the same after epidural,
she deserves belief — not dismissal.

McDonald’s is investing $100 million to bring customers back to stores after an outbreak of E. coli food poisoning tied to onions on the fast-food giant’s Quarter Pounder hamburgers.
The investments include $65 million that will go directly to the hardest-hit franchises, the company said.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has said that slivered onions on the Quarter Pounders were the likely source of the E. coli. Taylor Farms in California recalled onions potentially linked to the outbreak.
Colorado reported at least 30 cases; Montana reported 19; Nebraska, 13; and New Mexico, 10. The illnesses were reported between Sept. 12 and Oct. 21. At least 104 people got sick and 34 were hospitalized, according to federal health officials.
The Food and Drug Administration has said that “there does not appear to be a continued food safety concern related to this outbreak at McDonald’s restaurants.”
But the outbreak hurt the company’s sales.
Quarter Pounders were removed from menus in several states in the early days of the outbreak. McDonald’s identified an alternate supplier for the 900 restaurants that temporarily stopped serving the burgers with onions. Over the past week, McDonald’s resumed selling Quarter Pounders with slivered onions nationwide.
The public health workforce tasked with fighting what has been a long-losing battle against sexually transmitted infections now finds itself confronted with a new, unfamiliar outlook: hope.
After having surged to record levels practically every year this century, overall diagnoses of the three top bacterial STIs have crested since the Covid pandemic. From 2022 to 2023, total diagnoses decreased by 2%, to 2.46 million new cases, according to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention STI surveillance report published Tuesday.
And importantly, diagnoses of primary and secondary syphilis — the most infectious stages of the infection — dropped 10% last year, to 53,000 cases.
The decline was driven by a 13% drop in such syphilis diagnoses among gay and bisexual men, who are about 2% of the adult population but have historically accounted for nearly half of such cases.
