For a whole week now, I have been watching my daughter complain constantly of stomach aches, and honestly, it’s giving me heartache.
When it started, we dismissed it as a normal minor stomach ache, maybe as a result of indigestion. But later that day, the pain became so excruciating that we had to rush her to the hospital.
She was given a painki!ler injection, and she felt better. We were then told to go for a scan to find out what the problem was.
We did the scan, but the result came out negative. The sonographer suggested it might be enteric fever and listed some other underlying tests for us to do.
We went back to the hospital to conduct the tests, but the Medical Lab. Scientist suggested that we should do another type of test together with the ones recommended by the sonographer because of the way she kept complaining about the stomach ache.
We thought we had tried everything until the test results revealed a truth that shook us terribly and made us lose our grip.
