Nothing is new under the sun

I remember making this hair some months back and I was like , is this not the hair my grandmother was making some years back and it was pass to my mother and now our generation 😂?

You see this thing called life, there is nothing, absolutely nothing that is new under it. You think you were the one that invented an idea, style, an art work , little do you know that someone some years or decade ago thought and did that same thing you are doing now.

So, if you have any idea bring it to life and you will see how many such ideas we have. It is the first that bring an idea to life that is the creator, but, so you know there was a "before" before a "next".

What is the "Egusi or Melon " in your home?

Growing up, I fondly remember how we use to unpeel melon as a family.

This period was a time for family bonding where gossip flow faster than the speed of light 😂. Yes, this time of melon peeling we gist about anything and everything. Down to my dad's lover story( gist for another day). So when I say you get the premium gist during this time you know what I mean right?

Now, thinking about this, I came to understand that this work we were doing " unpeeling melon", did accomplish two purposes or more depending on your perspective.

First, it helps us to collectively prepare the family meal together which enable speed.

Secondly, it unites or bond the family more cause during this time we "communicate" not on phone but physically thereby sharing emotions laughter, sadness, fear you name it. We gist about both serious and trivial issues.

So I ask again, what is the Melon or "egusi" as it locally called@, In your home?
What is that thing that brings the family together in your home?

Now , due to the increase of social media content, family no longer have bonding time. You see siblings living together but they are watching tiktok videos or Instagram reel on their device but rarely talk to each other physically.

Physical communication is gradually crippling out of our reach, thereby making siblings or parent look like visitors that will be gone soonest.

So I beg, I plead! I beckon!, bring back the Melon, bring back the "egusi" to your family. Might not be the one you see in the picture, it can be anything game, sport,books, meal time that bring the spark to your family time.

Yes, BRING BACK THE EGUSI!!!

Some days just do you.

Dress how you love to be address, smell nice, and wear a smile.

It doesn’t have to be expensive to look good!

Just be INTENTIONAL!!!

You see this "charcoal iron", it wanted to frustrate me 😂. What am I even saying, it frustrated me like seriously.
So to my story of this iron, some of us might have seen and used it, others might have just seen it while some are just seeing it for the first time.

Well, this is a charcoal iron locally used to iron clothes if like me you feel buying gas iron is expensive.
Ok, back to the gist, so the reason I bought this iron was, I felt buying gas cylinder and using gas iron is very expensive so I opted for this.

I used it for some months but the stress, cost and how slow it was wanted to kill me like literally 😂

So someone advised me to buy gas cylinder and gas iron to iron clothes. I just said, ok, let me just give it a try and Mehn! You need to see the relief.
Like, why did you guys not tell me earlier that using gas iron is way cheaper, easier and faster than this charcoal iron that wants to send me to my early grave 😂

So the point is, there are some things we do that we feel it is faster, cheaper, or easier not knowing is the most expensive, stressful and difficult.

Why not try that thing you think is the most expensive, stressful or difficult you never know, you will be amazed!!!

Be it getting that shop, visiting that restaurant, starting that business, just try.

Don't make ASSUMPTIONS
