My camera taught me something interesting today!! 😊
If you've been following me for a while, you'll know that I am a polymath and I love pictures. Okay, even if you didn't know, now you know! 😁
I started this year with a new goal of becoming good with camera photography (like I am with phone photography), but work got busy!
I practiced just a few weeks and left it. So I decided to go back to it this week, and it's as if I'm just starting because I'd forgotten some settings.
First pictures were blurry! 🤣 But as I practiced, taking some pictures, I got better.
It's just like learning a second language, like French! You learn, you forget, you relearn. Progress is progress, no matter how small!
I had finished taking pictures for the day with the help of few YouTube videos before I realized the manual was in the bag and would have made it easier. This incident brings to mind few things.
First, how we want to be good at something but not searching for the 'manual'. And sometimes the manual here can be people that have gone ahead of you in that field if not directly through their books, courses or other resources.
Secondly, most people want to learn French but shy away from investing in the right resources.
And lastly, asking questions, one of the rear soft skills needed to win in this era. Maybe if I had asked about the manual from the counter I would have known that and save myself the wasted time.
Lol, manual = life saver! 😊 Sounds like you learned the hard way, but now you're equipped!
Totally relate to wanting to wing it and skipping the manual, but sometimes that's just wasted time and energy. And yeah, tapping into people who've been there/done that is like finding the cheat codes to success!
Same thing with learning French – investing in the right resources is key, right? And asking questions is an underrated superpower.
😁 Don't beat yourself up; you've got the insight now!
What's your next photography or French-learning move? All in?

Consistency makes a difference in learning and getting better at a skill.
I picked up my camera today again and it’s as if I am just starting all over again!
The pictures were not perfect but I took them anyway!
If you are learning a skill and you want to be good at it keep practicing!

I have lost count of how many times my pr***en calls my name in a day, or how many questions I answer from morning till night.
Some days, it feels overwhelming.
But then I pause and remind myself that a time will come when he will grow, become independent, and build a life of his own.
So for now, I am choosing to enjoy this moment.
Because one day, I might miss it.
There is something about family that keeps you grounded.
No matter how far you go, how much you grow, or how many roles you carry, there is always that place that reminds you of who you are.
Family is not always perfect.
But it is real.
It is learning.
It is patience.
It is love in its everyday form.
These are the moments I hold close.
The quiet ones.
The ordinary ones.
The ones that do not make noise but shape everything.
And if you are in this season of constant “Mommy,” “Daddy,” endless questions, little hands pulling at you, and voices calling your name, here is a gentle reminder:
Slow down and be present.
Look into their eyes when they speak.
Answer with patience, even when you are tired.
Create small traditions that will become big memories.
Put the phone aside sometimes and just be there.
Laugh more. Listen more. Hug more.
Because these moments are not interruptions.
They are the very building blocks of connection, trust, and love.
One day, the house will be quieter.
And you will wish you could hear your name called just one more time.
So cherish this season.
Take a moment today. Sit with your child, your parent, your sibling, or someone you call family. Ask a question. Share a laugh. Make a memory.
Do not wait for a perfect moment, create one.

THE SUN BESIDE THE POLE
I took this picture and paused.
Not because it was perfect.
But because it made me feel something.
Photography has taught me to slow down.
To notice details I would normally ignore. Light. Shadows. Expressions. Moments.
Sometimes, life is not in the big events.
It is in the quiet seconds we almost miss.
This is one of those moments.
What is something small you noticed today?

HEALTHY BREAKFAST
There is something about a simple, healthy breakfast that sets the tone for the whole day.
This meal reminds me of Saturdays growing up. Slow mornings. No rush. Just the quiet joy of food being prepared with care.
For the longest time, I carried my usual cooking habits with me. And honestly, until recently, I still used MSG. It was familiar. It was easy.
Then a friend came visiting.
She showed me a different way. A way to cook with natural ingredients, to let the spices speak, to enjoy food without compromising health.
I was not sure at first.
But I tried.
And this meal came out so delicious. Rich, satisfying, and even better because it felt good afterward.
Sometimes, we hold on to habits simply because they are familiar.
Now I am learning to choose better, one meal at a time.
Do not believe me, just try it 🤍

For a long time, this space was known as Orisun Organix.
It was a place dedicated to sharing and selling organic products, built from a desire to promote healthier living and intentional choices. And I am still deeply proud of that journey.
But as I have grown, I have come to realize that there is more to me than just one expression.
This page is evolving.
From a space focused only on products, it is now becoming something richer, more personal, and more reflective of my life as a whole.
Welcome to Diary of a Polymath.
A polymath is someone who explores and expresses themselves in many different areas, someone who learns widely, creates freely, and does not limit themselves to just one path.
Here, you will still find the essence of Orisun Organix, the love for natural living, mindful choices, and wellness. But you will also experience more.
You will see:
• The meals I cook and the stories behind them
• The beauty I capture through my lens
• The places I explore and what they teach me
• The moments I share with family
• The reflections that shape my journey
• And many more—everything that makes me a woman of many expressions
This is no longer just a page.
It is a diary.
A blend of life, growth, creativity, and purpose.
If you have been here from the beginning, thank you for staying.
If you are just joining, you are welcome into something intentional and evolving.
This is a life of many expressions .
