Obatala was predicted
When he bought a lame as his first slave
The slave I bought is a good slave
The slave I bought made me rich
The slave I bought is a good slave.
Itan:
When Orisa-Nla (Obàtálá) wanted to buy a slave he went to Orúnmila for spiritual guidance. Orunmila told Orisa-NIa to pay for the first slave that took his imagination because that would be the one that would make him win.
Arriving at the market, Obàtálá took a look around for the kind of slave he wanted and decided to settle for the one that seemed healthy and clean. Acting on Orúnmìlá's council, Obàtálá negotiated the starting price of the merchant and bought the slave. Obàtálá didn't know that the slave he had bought was crippled. He discovered that when he told the slave, 'Stop to go home. "He was surprised when the slave said to him, ""You will have to take me." "Obàtálá asked the slave why he had to be taken away. The slave told Obàtálá that he had to be carried because he couldn't walk. This was unpleasant news for Obàtálá because he had bought the slave to help him. Obàtálá was angry and was about to ask for his money back when he remembered Ifa's order to buy his first slave, he imagined. Out of his respect for Orúnmìlá's wisdom, Obàtálá accepted his new destiny. As demanded by the slave, Obàtálá took him home.
For a long time in his house, Obàtálá was the one who looked after the slave who serves him. He did just about everything for the slave. This situation lasted a long time until one day the slave asked Obàtálá if he had a farm. Obatala replied, "Yes, I have a farm!!! ''The slave told him that he would like to live on the farm if it wasn't bothering Obàtálá to take him there. He told Obàtálá that his being on the farm would relieve Obàtàlá from the burden of his (slavery) he would totally depend on him. Out of compassion, Obàtálá asked the slave how he would survive alone on the farm. The slave assured Q
I hope he will survive. According to his demand, Obàtálá took the slave and took him to the farm.
On the farm, the slave developed a single hobby. His fan was flushing Okin's feathers (the eagle) whenever he wants he perched within his reach. Within a short period of time the slave had collected a large amount of feathers.
Soon it was time for the annual Olókun party. Based on mutual understanding among all the Irunmple, Olókun invited Obàtálá.
Meanwhile in the house of Obàtálá, a good relationship had developed between the slave and him. As a result of this understanding between the two, Obàtálá accidentally invites most Olokun men to the pending annual party during one of his little -talks. This information reignited the slave's desire to show his gratitude to Obàtálá for the good care he had received from him. Therefore, he hardly thought about what he could do to make Obàtálá stand out at Olókun's party. With hard thought an idea came. The idea was that he would make a nice crown for Obàtálá from Okin's feathers he had collected. It was a legitimate idea to him. Then came the debate whether or not he should tell Obàtálá of his plan. In the end, he decided not to tell Obàtálá because he wanted to surprise him with the crown when it was finished.
The slave hardly worked on this Okin feather crown and also hid Obàtálá project. He finished it, just before the Olókun party, successfully. The corona was so pretty. In one of Obàtálá's visits to the farm, he presented her the crown. Obàtálá was pleasantly surprised by the crown as well as its beauty. He developed an instant love for the crown and decided he was going to take her to Olókun's party...
On the day of Olókun's feast, Obàtálá wore the crown of Okin. All heads pointed at him when he entered the room. After the usual exchange of jokes, the other Irunmole started asking Obàtálá where he got his beautiful crown, and how they too could get a crown. Obàtálá told them that the crown had been tailor-made for him by his slave. The next thing Obàtálá heard was, "can I order for one?. "Obàtálá said, ""Yes, please proceed."" "Orders were made instantly crowns for most of the Irunmole with full costs paid upfront. As if magically, Obàtálá made a lot of money...
Receiving party thing, Obàtálá headed straight to the farm. Obàtálá told the slave everything that happened in Olókun's party. He also told him the admiration of the Orissa for the special crown. Earlier to all, he told the slave that he had a large order for the crown, with the advance payments, and asked if the slave thought he could produce the large amount demanded. The slave said he could do that.
As soon as Obàtálá left the farm, the slave started working on crowns seriously. Within a few months, he had filled the orders. It didn't end there more and more orders came in. Working diligently, the slave fulfilled all lola orders.
Each time Obàtálá reminded Orúnmila of the advice at the moment he wanted to buy the slave, he would burst into the dance and sing the following song:
The load I bought is a load of goodness.
Eru ti mo ra eru ire ni
I am a load that I bought 1o
Eru ti mo ra eru ire ni
The slave I bought is a good slave
The slave I bought is a good slave
The slave I bought became rich
The slave I bought is a good slave.
