Today we will be looking at the HISTORY OF SOAP MAKING.

Stay with me as I pour out this information.Soap is a very important cleansing agent which we cannot do without.

Humans have used soap for thousands of years.According to earliest recorded evidence ,soap making materials was first in Babylon and Sumeria.The evidence were Babylonian clay containers dated at 2800 B.C.Inscriptions on the containers,showed the earliest known written soap recipe.

Then,soap was initially made of fats from slaughtered cow,goat or sheep.The fats were mixed with water and woodash.The result washed away dirt.

Did you know that in the earliest time,soap was made to wash wool and cotton in preparation for weaving and treating skin diseases,not for bathing.

As time went on,the Romans empire started using soap for bathing which was adopted by other people.
