Back like I never left!!!

During the trip, a friend called on the phone and while we chatted she asked "what are you going to do when you get back to Nigeria?". I'll pick up from where I left off, I replied. Because surely, what else is left to do but to return back to life as I know it.
This made me think about how there's no amount of traveling/vacationing (or whatever it is you engage in to "forget" or help you ignore certain things) that can truly act as a band aid. At the end of the day, you still return back to these things. It may lessen the impact, but you eventually return and have to face whatever it is you're running from head on.
Take this as random musings from someone who hates that
holidays have to come to an end.
