Cancer is characterized by the development of abnormal cells that divide and grow sporadically and have the ability to infiltrate and destroy normal or healthy body tissue. It also has the ability and potential to spread all through the human anatomy
there are variations to cancer and it is mostly fatal as it is the second-leading cause of death in the world. over the years, there has been no cure but survival rates are annually improving.
Signs and symptoms caused by cancer will vary depending on what part of the body is affected.
Some general signs and symptoms associated with, but not specific to, cancer, include:
Fatigue
Lump or area of thickening that can be felt under the skin
Weight changes, including unintended loss or gain
Skin changes, such as yellowing, darkening or redness of the skin, sores that won't heal, or changes to existing moles
Changes in bowel or bladder habits
Persistent cough or trouble breathing
Difficulty swallowing
Hoarseness
Persistent indigestion or discomfort after eating
Persistent, unexplained muscle or joint pain
Persistent, unexplained fevers or night sweats
Unexplained bleeding or bruising
Cancer is caused by changes (mutations) to the DNA within cells. The DNA inside a cell is packaged into a large number of individual genes, each of which contains a set of instructions telling the cell what functions to perform, as well as how to grow and divide. Errors in the instructions can cause the cell to stop its normal function and may allow a cell to become cancerous.
Prevention
There's no certain way to prevent cancer. But doctors have identified several ways of reducing your cancer risk, such as:
Stop smoking. If you smoke, quit. If you don't smoke, don't start. Smoking is linked to several types of cancer — not just lung cancer. Stopping now will reduce your risk of cancer in the future.
Avoid excessive sun exposure. Harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun can increase your risk of skin cancer. Limit your sun exposure by staying in the shade, wearing protective clothing or applying sunscreen.

WHATS KILLING YOUR KIDNEY?
A Ghanaian doctor in the United States sent this to help everyone. Please read and take care of yourself. Dr. Okyere.
The speed at which young people suffer from kidney disease is alarming.
★SO HERE ARE THE 6 MAIN CAUSES OF KIDNEY DISEASE:
1. Delay going to the bathroom. Keeping your urine in your bladder too long is a bad idea. A full bladder can cause bladder damage. The urine left in the bladder multiplies the bacteria quickly. Once the urine returns to the ureter and kidneys, toxic substances can lead to kidney infections, then urinary infections, then nephritis and even uremia. When nature calls - do it as soon as possible.
2. Eat too much salt. You should not eat more than 5.8 grams of salt a day.
3. Eat too much meat. Too much protein in your diet is harmful to your kidneys. Protein digestion produces ammonia, a very destructive toxin for the kidneys. More meat equals more kidney damage.
4. Drink too much caffeine. Caffeine is a component of many sodas and soft drinks. This increases your blood pressure and your kidneys begin to suffer. So you should reduce the amount of coke you drink every day.
5.Drink enough warm water. Our kidneys must be well hydrated to perform their duties well. If we do not drink enough, the toxins can begin to accumulate in the blood because there is not enough fluid to drain them through the kidneys. Drink more than 10 glasses of water a day. There is an easy way to check if you're drinking enough water: look at the color of your urine; the lighter the color, the better.
6. Late treatment. Treat all your health problems early and have your health checked regularly. Let us help ... God will protect you and your family against all diseases this year.

Mixing drugs like Funbact A and Skineal with baby body creams is not healthy for the skin, especially for the skin of babies.
They are drugs inform of medications and not body creams.
The rate at which some mothers use them now is alarming and they even prescribe it to others openly.
The side effects include steroids which are easily absorbed into the bloodstream from the fragile skin of the newborns and babies.
These lead to serious side effects on the long terms including gastritis (stomach ulcers), wounds, poor growth and other side effects.
If we go through the packs of some of these medicated creams, words like “antifungal,” “antibacterial”, “anti-inflammatory” are written on them.
The constituents are drugs including antibiotics, antifungal and steroids and they are often prescribed for specific skin diseases and usually for a short duration and not usually more than two weeks.
The problem with some mothers was the ‘craziness’ to have fair skin babies.
A lot of women are carried away by the desire for their babies to be fair, not knowing the dangers inherent in this dangerous practice.
There is more to having a fair baby, most babies are born fair but that does not mean they will remain fair.
Those with genetic makeup to be black will still be black irrespective of any concoctions applied or bleaching creams used.
Mothers should always use natural products for babies such as Vaseline, Shea butter, Coconut Oil, Olive oil and other routine baby care products or better still ask a trusted organic cream.

Research for Traditional medicine
The institute of African and Diaspora Studies is committed to provide the right platform for scholars and researchers to discuss African and Diaspora issues, has informed the organisation of this maiden workshop on the value and role of Traditional Medicine in Nigeria.
The world Health Day, with the theme: UNIVERSAL COVERAGE, EVERYWHERE, EVERYONE. This theme is germane to contribution of Traditional Medicine as it is the first point of call for majority of Africans (WHO, 1978).
This accounts for the two days of exhibition of certified traditional medicine products and real-time time encounter with practitioners
The workshop hope to examine the following:
1. The vital contribution of traditional medicine to the universal coverage, everywhere, everyone.
2. The need to empower Traditional Healthcare Practitioners on their role, their limits and acceptable method in the healthcare mission.
3. The need for formal interaction between western and traditional practitioners of healthcare
4. The role of government agencies in engaging traditional knowledge and method of healthcare in Nigeria
The expertise of researchers of IADS in the area of African Traditional Medicine in collaboration with traditional and western healthcare providers and their involvement with the African Center of Excellence for Drug Research, Herbal Medicine Development and Regulatory Science of the University of Lagos, is set to foster change in the way traditional medicine is perceived and used in Nigeria.
