ONE DAY I LOOKED IN THE MIRROR AND SAID,
“BLESSING, IF BREEZE BLOWS NOW, YOU ARE GONE.”
After all those inje, ctions, my body was not just weak… it was questioning my existence. 😭
Every day needle. Morning, needle. Evening, needle. At some point I started greeting the nurse like, “Aunty, na me again, your VIP customer.”
My veins? Gone. My strength? Missing. My appetite? Cancelled subscription.
I looked at myself in the mirror one day and said, “Blessing… if breeze blows now, you will relocate without transport fare.”
That was when salvation came… not from pharmacy… but from my kitchen.

The first day I cooked it, I didn’t even have strength, I was leaning on the pot like we were both supporting each other. The aroma alone said, “My sister, healing has begun.”
I took the first spoon…
My body said: “Wait… is this care? Is this love? After all that suffering?”
Second spoon… my eyes cleared small.
Third spoon… I sat up.
That porridge was not food again it became therapy.
Every bite was doing deliverance:
“Antibiotics, pack your load and go. Strength, come back.”

“I give my whole day to work…
then come back and try to give what’s left of me to my dreams.
Some days I’m tired, some days I’m just pushing through.
But in these small moments like this… I remind myself I’m still trying.
