Cold weather lowers your body temperature while you sleep. When your body gets too cold, it tries to warm itself by tightening your blood vessels this can increase blood pressure and strain your heart, especially for people with hypertension.

Sleeping without a cover also makes you more likely to wake up with catarrh, cough, chest pain, or stiff joints because your body loses heat all night.

Your immune system also slows down when your body is cold making you more likely to catch flu or cold infections.

Always sleep under a blanket or thick wrapper, even if you don’t feel too cold at first. It helps your body stay warm, your blood flow normally, and your immune system stay active.

1. Skipping Doses or Not Completing Medication.
Many people stop taking their drugs once they feel better. That’s a big mistake, Not completing your dose can make the infection come back stronger and harder to treat. Always finish your prescribed drugs, even when you feel fine.

2. Taking Drugs Without Water. Some people swallow drugs with soda, tea, or juice that’s wrong! Drugs need clean water to dissolve and work properly. Always use clean water, not soft drinks or alcohol.

3. Taking Drugs on an Empty Stomach (When It Shouldn’t Be). Some medicines can irritate your stomach or cause dizziness when taken without food. Read the label or ask your pharmacist if you should eat before or after taking it.

4. Mixing Drugs Without Medical Advice. Some combine painkillers, antibiotics, or herbal mixtures that can be dangerous! It can damage your liver or reduce the effect of the drug. Never mix drugs without asking a qualified health professional.

5. Ignoring the Timing of Medication. Taking your drugs at random times reduces their power. Follow the timing, if it says every 8 hours, keep it consistent to maintain the right amount in your body.
