Best Types of Foundation Suitable for Different Soils
A foundation is the most critical element of any building, as it transfers structural loads safely into the ground. Choosing the right type of foundation depends largely on the soil conditions of the construction site. Since soil varies in strength, stability, and drainage capacity, different foundations are best suited for different soils. Below are the most common soil types and the appropriate foundation for each:
1. Rocky Soil
Rocky soils are extremely strong and stable, making them the best base for construction. In such conditions, a shallow foundation like a strip footing or pad footing is sufficient. These foundations sit close to the surface because the bearing capacity of rock is very high.
2. Sandy Soil
Sandy soil drains water quickly but lacks cohesion. This makes it prone to shifting. For sandy soil, raft foundations (mat foundation) or slab foundations are ideal. These spread the load evenly over a wide area, preventing settlement.
3. Clay Soil
Clay expands when wet and shrinks when dry, leading to high movement. To counter this, deep foundations such as pile foundations or pier foundations are most suitable. Piles transfer loads to deeper, more stable strata below the clay.
4. Loamy Soil
Loam is a mixture of sand, silt, and clay, making it fertile and stable. It has good load-bearing capacity and moderate drainage. For loamy soil, shallow foundations like spread footings or raft foundations work best.
5. Black Cotton Soil
This soil is highly expansive and unsuitable for shallow foundations. The safest option is a pile foundation or a raft foundation with under-reamed piles, which bypass the unstable upper layers.
6. Peaty Soil
Peaty soil contains high organic matter and retains a lot of moisture, making it compressible and weak. The best solution is a pile foundation that transfers load to deeper firm strata, avoiding settlement.

Dangers of using wooden doors for external spaces in a building...
are highly inflammable
# They are vulnerable to harsh weather conditions...the effect of water splash and sunlight could lead to fading of color and damage.
does not guarantee security
So consider it for internal use only.

Some of think metallic irons in doors and burglaries determine the security but you are actually wrong. This image is called a security cylinder in doors and burglaries,it controls the locks and bolts in the engines and once it's manipulated the engines become weak and vulnerable so before you buy your doors and protective burglaries please ensure that the cylinder is of top guage and original.
