I’m learning that being able to afford something doesn’t mean I should buy it.

And honestly, this is one of the hardest things I’m currently practicing: delayed gratification.
Sometimes I have the money. I want the thing. I can literally buy it right now.

But I’m learning to pause.

Because not every desire needs to be satisfied the moment it shows up.

I’m learning to sit with “I want this” without immediately turning it into “I need this.”

And maybe that’s what growing up really looks like sometimes. Choosing the future version of yourself over what feels good in the moment.

Especially when you’ve spent so much time wanting things you couldn’t afford. The moment you finally have a little money, you want to enjoy everything at once. I get it.

But I’m learning that I don’t just want to make money.

I want to be able to keep it. Grow it. And make better decisions with it.

So yes, I can have it.

Just not right now.

There are bigger things I’m building towards.
