The Home for the Elderly project by Abinye Blessing Pepple is the first of its kind. It represents a new shift in our culture and in the way we care for our elderly. If properly nurtured, it has the potential to grow into something even bigger and more economically sustainable than NLNG (Its a Big deal in Britain).

This initiative is for all of us, unless, of course, you do not intend to grow old.

My recommendation is that we begin by training personnel specifically for this purpose. These nurses and caregivers should be homegrown professionals, because there is this automatic compassion already, knowing that they are looking after their own, sisters, aunties and relatives.

This project is far from politics, it is for all of us, we need so lets pray for it.
