URGENT PEACE & SECURITY APPEAL TO ALL OKE-OGUN LEADERS AND SONS/DAUGHTERS

This is an urgent appeal to all Oke-Ogun stakeholders, including traditional rulers, religious leaders, community leaders, and indigenous sons and daughters of Oke-Ogun.

The rising incidence of kidnapping, terrorism, and violence affecting our people necessitates immediate attention. Prior to seeking external intervention, it is imperative that we secure our own communities and safeguard our people. The safety of Oke-Ogun should be our top priority.

I call upon all stakeholders across Oke-Ogun to convene an emergency security meeting with the aim of reaching a clear resolution. This resolution must stipulate that anyone found to be aiding or engaging in criminal activities, including kidnapping, terrorism, or violent crimes, will face the full consequences of the law, regardless of their family background, status, or influence.

I also appeal to all Islamic scholars, pastors, and traditional worship leaders to continue promoting peace, unity, love, and mutual respect in their sermons. It is essential that we learn to manage our differences and coexist harmoniously, irrespective of our religious beliefs or faith traditions.

As a practicing Muslim, I affirm that Islam does not condone terrorism, kidnapping, killings, or any form of atrocity. Similarly, no true religion encourages evil or violence against innocent people.

I would like to take this opportunity to commend every son and daughter of Oke-Ogun who has stood up in defense of our land and our people. To those who have utilized their voice, resources, and courage to protect the weak, speak out against injustice, and maintain the safety of our communities - we acknowledge your efforts and appreciate your contributions.

Your bravery serves as a reminder that the people of Oke-Ogun do not shy away from responsibility. May your strength inspire us all to unite, focus on peace at home, and build a safer future for the next generation. Ok
