JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced, highly analytical, and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial accounting, reporting, reconciliations, cash management, treasury operations, and maintaining accurate financial records. Proficiency in Sage ERP and strong Treasury experience are mandatory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records, journals, ledgers, and financial schedules.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and other periodic financial reports.
• Perform bank, general ledger, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely processing of transactions.
• Operate and maintain accounting records on Sage ERP including posting transactions and generating financial reports.
• Monitor daily cash positions, bank balances, and liquidity requirements.
• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts and payment schedules.
• Process and monitor bank transfers, payments, and other treasury transactions.
• Liaise with banks and financial institutions on payments, account issues, confirmations, and related matters.
• Monitor foreign currency transactions and exposures where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with approved financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits and provide required financial schedules and documentation.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective actions.

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant accounting experience.
• Hands-on proficiency in Sage ERP is mandatory.
• Strong practical knowledge of Treasury and Cash Management is mandatory.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ANAN is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, cash flow management, and accounting principles.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
