HOW TO MAKE YOUR RICE WATER SMELL NICE:

Let’s talk about Fermented Rice Waterand the ‘pungent’ smell that comes off the fermentation process. If you prefer not to deal with the fermentation process smell, you can make plain rice water by soaking rice in water and leaving it to sit for up-to 30 minutes ONLY that you will miss out on the added benefits of the fermentation process.

The aroma of citrus fruit can be used to take away the pungent smell of fermented rice water. Citrus fruits include lemon, orange and lime. To make better smelling rice water using citrus, add a few peels of either lemon, orange or lime to your fermented rice water mixture.

Apart from additional nourishment, you can add a few drops of lavender essential oil in your rice water after fermentation to take away the pungent smell. Lavender is also soothing as much as it has aroma therapeutic benefits.

WHICH RICE WATER IS BETTER?

UNPOLISHED BROWN RICE VS POLISHED WHITE RICE
The first is, polishing removes most of the vitamins and minerals that are vital for healthy hair.

The process of polishing rice also reduces its protein content which is the main constituent needed from rice water.

On the other hand, brown rice which is unpolished has only the husk removed while the bran and germ are still intact. It has more phosphorus, zinc and folate and also contains a lot of antioxidants. It's water contains a more appreciable amount of protein, zero preservatives and little or no arsenic.

I prefer Brown Rice to Polished white rice and that's the one I always use cuz it's more nutritious, healthy, cheaper and effective.

ONION JUICE FOR HAIR GROWTH: HOW TO MAKE AND USE

*What is the benefit of onion juice on the hair?

Contrary to the widely known usage of onions as vegetables or as part of a prepared savoury dish, scientists have shown that the juice of onions could be used as remedy for hair loss.

According to Healthline,

When added to the hair and scalp, onion juice can provide extra sulfur to support strong and thick hair, thus preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth.

*How do I make and Use Onion Juice?

- Peel and cut up two medium sized onions.

- Grate or blend into a paste

- Extract the juice by using a juicer or in a clean napkin or cheesecloth
