Court Upholds Nigerians’ Right to Film Police on Duty, Awards N7m D@mages for Rights Violation
The Federal High Court sitting in Warri, Delta State, has delivered a landmark ruling affirming that Nigerians have the constitutional right to record police officers while they carry out their duties in public.
Delivering judgment on Tuesday in suit number FHC/WR/CS/87/2025, Justice H. A. Nganjiwa held that police officers must wear visible name tags, display their force numbers, and must not harass, intimidate, arrest, or seize devices from citizens documenting their activities.
The court also awarded the applicant, Maxwell Uwaifo, N5 million in d@mages for the violation of his fundamental rights, alongside N2 million to cover litigation costs.
By granting all the reliefs sought, the court reinforced the right of Nigerians to freely document police actions in public spaces without fear of intimidation or retaliation.
Reacting to the ruling, Mr Uwaifo described the judgment as a major step forward for accountability.
“This judgement has significant implications for policing standards, civil liberties, and public accountability across Nigeria,” he said in a statement shared with newsmen on Tuesday.
“The court made far-reaching pronouncements on police accountability and citizens’ constitutional rights.”

“I will never attend any house party in Lekki again in my life.
I was on my own when this guy texted me to be his girlfriend, but I rejected him.
We later became friends, and one day he asked me to follow him to a birthday party. He even sent me ₦200k to get a dress.
When I got there, I met 11 guys and only 6 ladies. It was all fun until they turned off the lights and brought out masks.”

"This morning something happened in my house that really surprised me.
I wanted to bath my little daughter because my wife was busy in the kitchen cooking. Just normal father duties, nothing serious. I carried my daughter and went to the bathroom.
Suddenly my wife rush£d out of the kitchen like there was an emergency. The way she ran would make you to think she saw a b©mb that is about to drop.
She looked at me with very serious eyes and said I should stop immediately. According to her, I have no right to bath our female child and she had w@rned me about it before.
She even said this would be the last w@rning and that I wouldn’t like what would happen if I tried it again.
Honestly, I just stood there confused, looking like a complete f*ol because I have never heard of any law in Nigeria that says a father cannot bath his own daughter.
Now I’m really wondering…
Is there actually any rule or cultural belief that says a father shouldn’t bath his daughter? Or is this just something some families believe in?
Because in my mind, taking care of your child boy or girl is part of being a parent.
I’m genuinely asking: Fathers here, have you ever bathed your daughter before?
Mothers, do you think it’s wrong?
Let’s talk. I want to understand if I’m missing something here."

My biggest mistake was sending ₦195,000 instead of ₦19,500 to a clothing vendor i met on Instagram. It was an honest error, and i reached out to her immediately to explain the situation and ask for a refund of the excess amount.
Unfortunately, instead of responding or trying to resolve the issue, she blocked me right after i told her about the mistake. It’s really disappointing because i trusted her, and now I’m left dealing with the consequences of that error.
What kind of a big mistake is this?

A soldier named Gentle Dean lōst both hands in a dêadly ambush in Borno State.
While others might see a broken man, his wife still sees thesame husband she fell in love with, today she feeds him, cares for him, comforts him, and raising their children beside him.
This is why men really need to be careful when making choice for a wife. If this woman is not a true wife, she would had left him long ago after he lost his hands.
Thanks to the wife for sticking with our beloveth soldier in this difficult times. I pray she get good reward for her effort 🙏👏

The Olumba Olumba Obu Brotherhood Church just released this picture and tagged Rowland as: "The universal monarch, the king of Kings and Lord of Lords."
While some people are there abusing them, their members are busy showering praises and bowing to their Messiah.
It's surprisingly to the upright once to see what religion can do to human brain.
If religion can tell you that if you eliminate a person that you will go to paradise to enjoy 72 virgins and you believe.
Then, why should you also query those asking you that is Jesus not a human being?
Or Is it because jesus is a Whiteman and Rowland is a black man?
I keep wondering when Africans will wake up and stop being into modern slavery all in the name of one stup!!d religion.
WHAT IS HIS CRIME? The keke driver carried a male and female passenger in his keke during Ramadan. This a secular/sharia country. The secular constitution cannot protect his citizen from such attack.
It amazes me how adults will keep believing in the unity of two diametrically opposed legal systems and values in one country. It is insane, largely driven by personal interests. It can only get worse.
Deborah Samuel's experience will never cease to exist. It is total madness.

"My first week in the UK, I went to a Tesco store to buy a few things. I picked toothpaste, body oil, lubricant, and big mayonnaise.
I got a bag and, after putting the items inside, the bag suddenly tore, and the mayonnaise broke.
The first thing that ran through my mind was: 'Chai… so I will have to pay for another one again?' 😪😭
While I was still deep in my sapa thoughts, about 2–3 staff members rushed to me saying:
“Oh my darling.”
“You alright?”
“Bless you, my lovely.”
“Are you hurt?”
“Do I need to ring 999?”
“Do you need medical attention?”
“Are you sure you’re okay?”
I was so confused like… "What exactly is going on here?" At the same time, I felt like a spoiled toddler being over-pampered.
Then, one of the staff members rushed to the aisle and replaced everything I bought. I mean everything.
Water first Comot for my eyes 😭😭
In those moments, I remembered my dear country….
If you’ve never travelled outside Nigeria, you might not understand how much we are actually suffering in that country. 😔

There Is A Way You’ll Complain Too Much To God, He’ll Just Kp@i You because You’re not the only one he created — Prophet Odumeje
Controversial Nigerian cleric, Prophet Chukwuemeka Odumeje, has stirred reactions after delivering a blunt message about constant complaints during prayers.
The outspoken preacher made the remarks while addressing his congregation during a church service at the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, where he cautioned believers against always focusing on their problems without showing gratitude to God.
Speaking passionately, the General Overseer warned that excessive complaints without appreciation could reflect a failure to recognize the gift of life and the blessings people still possess despite their challenges.
“There is a way you will complain too much to God, He will kp@i you by Himself because you’re not the only person He created. You can’t even appreciate Him for keeping you alive,” Odumeje said.
He further emphasized that many people spend most of their time presenting problems to God but rarely take a moment to thank Him for the life they still have.
“Every time you complain, you can not even appreciate the life you have at all,” he added.
Driving home his point, the cleric noted that there comes a point where constant complaints may overshadow gratitude in one’s relationship with God. “There is a way you will complain your problem God will tell you my dear you complain too much,” he stated.
