The honest truth about starting in PMU. What no one tells you.
You will leave your first training feeling nervous and unprepared. That is completely normal. Every artist starts there.
Invest in the best course you can. Overcrowded rooms produce under-supported artists. Find someone whose work you love and train with them. Not the cheapest option. The right one.
Do not fall into the trap of discounting. It attracts the wrong clients, and once your work is on sale, it is very hard to stop.

Still struggling with the upward flick? Watch this.
The most common mistake is starting at an angle and trying to work your way up. That is why it feels forced.
The fix is simple. Start perpendicular. Pen pointing straight up. Go into the skin from the middle of the stroke, slow tick-tack movements, and then fast flick out.
Up and then out. Up and then out. Every time.
The same applies for shaded strokes. Always start perpendicular, always work from the middle.
Once this clicks, everything becomes smoother.
Save this and try it on latex first.
