I’m slowly opening my calendar again as I return from maternity leave—and I’m so happy to welcome clients back for Hyperrealism Brows.

Availability will be limited while I ease back into the studio. Appointments will be offered to my waiting list first and will only be confirmed once full payment has been received.

Please also note that Hyperrealism Brows cannot be performed over existing permanent makeup. If you have previous microblading, powder brows, ombré brows or any other brow tattoo—even if it has faded—please send me clear, makeup-free photos before making a booking.

Hyperrealism is designed to create a beautifully natural hair-stroke result. Working on untreated skin gives me the clearest canvas to plan each stroke and achieve the softest possible outcome.

Natural-looking brows are not the easy option. They are the most technical.

Hyperrealism is not about drawing as many hairs as possible. It is about understanding which strokes belong—and which ones do not.

I begin with what is already there: the direction of your natural growth, the density through the body of the brow, the spaces that need restoring and the way each side sits on your face. The front should feel soft. The body should build gradually. The tail should remain light enough to look real.

That judgement is not learned overnight.

I have spent more than a decade working in permanent brow artistry, first mastering the foundations of microblading and then refining my work through Hyperrealism. I trained in Kim Loy’s signature approach through her advanced Mastery programme—learning how to create machine hair strokes that move with the natural brow rather than sit on top of it.

Today, I am one of only two certified Hyperrealism Brow artists in Amsterdam. But the title matters less than the philosophy behind the work:

No heavy outline. No repeated pattern. No brow that looks borrowed from somebody else.

The result should never announce the treatment. It should simply look like your brows—restored.

Your brows shouldn’t begin with a template. They should begin with your face.

Every face carries its own proportions, bone structure, natural brow growth and small asymmetries. That is why I would never use the same brow shape for every client—and why mapping is such an important part of the Hyperrealism Brows process.

Mapping is the blueprint. Before any pigment is placed, I study where your brows naturally begin, how they grow, where the arch feels balanced and how each side relates to your eyes and the rest of your face.

The aim is not to force your brows into perfect mirror-image symmetry. Faces are not perfectly symmetrical. The aim is to create harmony: brows that feel balanced, natural and unmistakably yours.

This is also why I offer a preparation appointment before your treatment. You can see the proposed design in advance, ask questions, share what feels right to you and make adjustments with me. We agree on the plan before treatment day—so there is less uncertainty and no generic shape imposed on your face.

Because the most natural brows are never copied. They are carefully designed for the person wearing them.

Still tinting your brows every month—only to watch the colour fade and start all over again?

Maybe you’re tired of the upkeep, but the thought of longer-lasting brows makes you nervous. What if they look too dark, too defined or simply not like you?

Each brow is created hair by hair, following your natural growth, facial features and the softness that already belongs to you. The goal is never to give every client the same shape or a drawn-on finish.

Some brows need subtle restoration. Others need more structure and definition. But my philosophy always stays the same: less is more. We can always add more at your touch-up—but your initial result should never overpower your face.

New Understanding of Brows
Since becoming a mum, I have started thinking about brows in a different way.

I do not recommend PMU brows during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Hormonal changes can affect healing and the way pigment settles in the skin, so I would always rather wait until the time is right.

But the last few weeks have reminded me why I value Hyperrealism Brows so much.

When sleep is broken and time is short, I do not always have the energy to do my own brows. And on those days, having a little colour and definition already there makes a real difference. Not because I need to look “done,” but because it helps me still look like myself.

That is what I want to give my clients too. A soft, natural result that is quietly there for the days you have no time for anything else.

When the time is right, I cannot wait to have mine again.

For me, permanent makeup is never only about the appointment itself. It is about how it settles into your skin, how it belongs to your face, and how you feel when you look in the mirror weeks later.

That is why I take time before I begin. I look at your natural hair, your skin, your proportions and the balance that already exists in your face. There is no copied brow map. No one shape that works for everyone.

Not every technique is right for every person. And most artists will not tell you that.

If you have oily or textured skin, Microblading will not heal properly. A machine technique is the only option that lasts.

If you want brows that look like you are wearing makeup, Powder brow is for you. If you want brows that nobody can tell are permanent, that is Hyperrealism.

If you have no natural hair at all, Hyperrealism is the only technique that builds a truly realistic result from nothing.

I stopped offering every other technique because of Hyperrealism. It is the most natural, most modern result I have ever seen, and the only one I trust to give my clients.
