This image is such a perfect example that dense breast tissue needs more than just a mammogram. This is a 46-year-old woman with extremely dense breast tissue. She got a mammogram every year, but they still could not see the huge tumor in her left breast. Following her recent thermography she had a clinical breast exam which revealed a 5 1/2 cm Mass. Ultrasound finally saw the tumor and biopsy was performed with a diagnosis of her2 positive stage III breast cancer. Remember Breast Density does not impact the accuracy of a Breast Thermogram, therfore making it an ideal assessment tool for all young women & indeed all women with dense breasts.
