Bullock cart is a powerful symbol of traditional Nepali village life and the strong connection to the land and livestock. Although modern vehicles like tractors and motorbikes are becoming common, the bullock cart endures as a vital part of the cultural landscape, especially among ethnic groups like the Tharu people in the Terai.
It is also called Bayal Gada, Ladiya or डल्लव.
