We LOVE our neighbourhood!

Not only is our location central, easy for parking and easy to get to but it also has everything we need within walking distance! So I thought I would share with you our top spots!

1. Stylestarter Boutique - A designer dress hire shop which perfectly compliments our services and is an opportunity for cross promotion for our artists!

2 & 3 Carlton road Lunch bar and Kingdom Sushi - We all know how hard our artists work so a quick and easy place to grab a bite is essential and these places have options, delightful staff and delicious food.

4. Auckland domain - the perfect spot to soak up the peace and quiet before or after your day or to get your steps in on a lunch break.

Happy 2026 to all our artists and supporters! The studio is back in full swing after lots of rest, sun and all the good holiday food!

A resident artist at Olio for over 1.5 years, Sophie is an exceptionally talented nail technician specialising in gel polish, builder gel, and pedicures. Her precision, artistry, and eye for detail have made her a trusted favourite among our Olio community.

Beyond her skill, Sophie brings an energy that is uniquely her own: warm, kind, chatty, and always ready with her signature, infectious laugh! She’s a mother of two, a deeply caring soul, and someone who fills the studio with joy and ease the moment she walks in.

We are thrilled to have her vibrant presence and creativity back in the space!

Meet the Olio Team: Dave, the owner of Wilson Valentine Hair

Dave joined Olio Studio last year after the lease on his own salon came to an end. Instead of starting from scratch, he moved into our shared studio space and continued running his business seamlessly - without the downtime or overheads of a full new setup.

Known for his expert colour and cut services, Dave brings warmth, laughter, and a cheeky sense of humour to studio life. His energy is a big part of what makes Olio such a connected and creative community.
