As Miss Sri Lanka NZ, I’ve met a fair share of photographers who try to lighten skin or change features, but I truly love that you chose to keep my natural brown skin exactly as it is. That means everything to me. I love my brown skin And I really believe everyone should love theirs too. Every shade is beautiful in its own unique way, and there is nothing to change or hide.

Not every photo needs a different face. Some people chase perfect skin, change tones, smooth every detail, and create a version that looks good but slowly stops looking like the person standing in front of the camera. I believe photographs should preserve people, not replace them. The beauty of a photo isn't changing someone into another person. It's capturing them as they are — their real skin, real features, real identity. These photos belong to a beautiful girl @midumi_lamahewage with her own natural skin tone, and I chose to keep that untouched. Because every shade has its own story, and I don't believe beauty needs to be edited into a different color. My editing style isn't about changing people. It's about elevating the frame, the mood, and the style — while keeping the person real.

Performing at the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre for NZ Talent Hunt was truly something special. Being on New Zealand’s largest tiered auditorium stage, in front of such a huge audience, is a feeling I’ll never forget 🤍

Although I didn’t place, I’m so grateful for the opportunity to grow, perform, and push myself beyond my comfort zone. Every experience like this is a step forward just getting the oppertunity to perform on that stage was incredible and something i never thought i could do by myself.

A huge thank you to sir for guiding my choreography aswell as my national director Nishi Ranathunga - Mrs New Zealand World for their constant support, and to my parents for always encouraging me to take on opportunities like this.

This is only the beginning ✨
